Default Official Press Release: Tonights Task

Big Brother Final Four Gamble on Ex Housemates Egg and Spoon Race

Tonight (Saturday 20th July) the housemates will be given their eighth task to complete during the live task show on Channel 4, the result of which will determine the group’s weekly shopping budget.

This week’s task will be in two parts. Firstly each housemate must individually complete a blindfold obstacle race in the garden directed by the others. The aim is to retrieve as many eggs as they can from one end of the course and safely bring them back to the group. Each egg is worth £25 which will be added to the £25 starting budget provided by Big Brother. The group will have 8 minutes to complete the task.

In the second part of the task the group will bet an agreed proportion of their acquired budget on the outcome of a race. The race will be an ex housemate egg and spoon race with Sophie, Lee, Spencer and PJ competing to get to the finish line first. The race will be played into the house on the plasma screen and the housemates must bet on who they think will win. The result will determine how much the group get to spend on their final week’s shopping.

Considering that the tasks have been absolutely dreadful this year, this one doesn't sound half bad.

At least it should be a laugh and it will be nice to see some of the ex-housemates again.

When he's asleep.

He's right though - an egg and spoon race - there could be countless injuries and possible deaths there, not to mention the fact that Jade and Kate will probably go mad at seeing people again (especially Jade for seeing PJ...)

Sound's ok to me, and a nice idea to get the ex housemates involved, for the last week.

What a brilliant task!

It brought back happy memories of the Assault Course task in BB1 and the Playground task in BB2

And wasn't it lovely to see all four housemates do so well in the task

About time a proper task. That's what we've been waiting 8 weeks for. I thought it was great - they worked as a team, took real delight in winning and were rewarded not only by winning the money but seeing their former housemates!

Spencer made me laugh so much and I thought they all had a good time. Well done Big Brother, not before time. Why couldn't we have had tasks like this from the beginning?

Kate has just said, live on E4, that tonight's task was definitely the BEST task they have had.

They are all still talking about it now and saying how they hope the ex-housemates were watching them tonight. They are well happy and it's SO nice to see them all behaving like a team for once.

Spencer was looking gorgeous! Just think of the fun they would be having in there now if it was Jade, Pj, Kate and Spencer. I think all sorts could have happened this week!!!
