It didn't matter who he was. He could have been a regular person but the point is that John James has to take responsibility of what he has done and said. He might not be comfortable with that but there are going to be people who want to say what they think of John James to his face.

It wasnt meant as a statement or as a prelude to a future conversation.
Its what some people feel necessary to do as a veiled threat of a proposed further altercation to big-up their ego in a crowd.
