Does it matter what it says about celebrity? Fact is, if Chantelle HAD been a bona fide celeb, she probably wouldn't have won. But so what, it raised a lot of money for charity, and provided some compulsive viewing for three weeks.

As for Sticks' point- I dont think we should read too much into it. It probably wont happen again. It could have been Orlaith in there and there is NO WAY she would have won.

It's an interesting comment on celebrity, the way Chantelle became a celebrity the instant she walked into the house - it seems the only thing you need now to become famous is enough exposure. Saying that, though, she is likeable and I don't think she won just for being a non-celeb - cc100 is right about how Orlaith wouldn't have won if she'd been there.
