So, there's been SO much speculation over the last few days mainly on Twitter.

People tweeted endlessly the other day saying that the owner of Channel 5 had finally signed this all important contract and Big Brother was going to be back next year on Channel 5, however, the owner of Channel 5 wanted to move the house to a new location. All in the space of about 10 months, they would build a new house, refurbish it, re-think the show's platform etc..
The thing I laughed at the most was apparently, the owner of Channel 5 allegedly said that he was only going to sign the contract for 1 year. Depending on how next year goes depends if he signs any more series. I bet you all may think "What's the point"

Of course the first year on Channel 5 is going to be awful. Big Brother has lost so many fans over the last 10 years, once people gather it is on Channel 5, they will slowly come back and take a look at what has been done differently to it and so on...the viewers won't rocket through the roof just because Channel 5 have got their hands on it, it'll take time. The first year at least would be bad for ratings as a lot of avid viewers that watch now, said they wouldn't watch it on Channel 5, it's just not the same. Another thing that he apparently said was that there was going to be NO spin off shows, BBLB and BBBM would all be gone.

However, there were no sources posted with this, so nobody could trace where the information came from. This leads me to believe it is Fake!

This morning, I logged onto twitter to find more rumours flying about all over the place that Elstree had extended the lease on the house for a further 3 years. This leads people to believe that Big Brother will be back for another 3 years, right up until Big Brother 14. But guess what, there were no sources with these rumours, so again, I believe it's fake.

My question is; Does anyone actually know what is going on with Big Brother and the future of the format?

tbh if BB went to C5 and kept the ratings it has atm, it would probably be the in the top 3 highest rated programes it broadcasts.

They'd be stupid not to pick it up

There will be at least 1 new spin off show to replace BBLB I think

Something was said about all Evictions shows being live

I did hear about only a 1 year contract and that CBB wouldn`t be brought back

I believe Channel 5 would refresh the show if this is true however if they decide to take too much away It will fail

The guy who confirmed all this was the Jacob guy on Inside BB the same guy who told us the live feed was back 3 days before BB started and the same guy who told us what the style of the BB house was like a week before it started

I see nothing has been officially confirmed at the moment, we'll just have to wait for it all to be confirmed by either Channel 5 or Endemol.

I'm not disputing the guy doesn't know his inside stuff, as he's been correct about a lot of things, but, it hasn't been officially confirmed as of yet... It's just his word for now. I did read that we'd be finding out the official future of BB for the final. Whether that means tomorrow night or September 10th, I'm not sure.

I'm glad BBLB won't be back, but Big Mouth should stay.

I really hope to **** they don't change everything about it. It should just go back BB5-7 style.

It doesn't matter... wait until end of UBB and have a look in the newspaper! that's all i can say!
