Did it appear to anyone else that the pychological report on Kate seemed more like a subtle character assassination ?
![]() Could the talk elsewhere of Kate being a favourite have goaded the powers that be to make sure her popularity is undermined to make sure the chosen one (Alex) will be victorious ![]() ![]() |

I have to agree with you Sticks.
Alex can do no wrong as far as C4 are concerned, even his disgraceful "Lick my **** Jade" speech didn't sound nearly as bad as it was. He has obviously been built up as the winner of Big Brother right from the start. But if I could be allowed to bring the gorgeous Will into the equation, Gareth Gates was tipped to win Pop Idol from the very start and it was us, the viewing public who finally got our way and chose the rightfull winner! We can do this again! VOTE KATE!!!!!!! |

In all fairness, Sticks, I thought they showed the good and bad side of all four remaining housemates with, perhaps, a very slight bias in Jade's favour, when they pointed out that she is being "bullied" by the other three.
Whatever, the great British public will no doubt make up their own minds without any help from the "so called" experts. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I have sent an e-mail to the various BB email addresses with this allegation. I have also sent a copy to the Sun. (Originally I tried to BCC it to a named person there but it bounced so had to resend to the general Sun Address, slightly modified)
I suspect they will ignore us and crown Alex the winner on Friday. ![]() ![]() |

Those bb shrinks haven't know what they were talking about since day one, so there's no worries there.

I think the psychologists are people with too much time on their hands and not enough to do. They have all week to prepare their 'script' for the Sunday night programme and can, therefore, tailor it accordingly. Some of the things they say are just so blindingly obvious. Jade is being bullied - well what a smack in the face that was! None of us would never have worked that out for ourselves would we!!!

Sticks, is your game to make everyone believe that Kate needs extra help to win, thereby getting her supporters to make extra votes.
I thought the psychologists' analysis was very perceptive and I couldn't find a fault with it. They have good reason for the slight bias towards Jade given the hatchet job she has received from the press. If you really think Alex is a sure thing to win, you should put your money where your mouth is. You would get some financial recompense for your favourite Kate not winning. Alex's about 7-2 to win. |

Basically they said Alex is genuine, and has integrity, and that Jonny and Kate are just putting on a front.
By saying that Kate had a false smile just after she walked in, well! What rot! She had just met the people. Remember Kate's initial reaction to Sophie? And how later they became friends. When you first meet someone, it's about airs and graces. Friendship comes later. Don't let C4 crown their chosen one! |

When the psychologists pointed out Alex’s honesty at the expense of his standing inside the house, they were just explaining the popularity that he has gained with viewers, and the reasons for him winning eviction votes. In the eyes of the public 'playing the game' of getting on everyone's good side is seen as one the greatest offences in Big Brother. Alex was playing that game very incompetently at the beginning. He alienated almost everyone in the house but not the viewers. The psychologists also mentioned that public opinion of Alex could go either way though, so they were even-handed.
I thought the analysis of Jonny was right on the money. He's admitted himself that he has modified his behaviour for the sake of the cameras and public opinion. I also thought at the time, he knew that taking control of the decision of which housemate would get the phone call would make him look altruistic. When talking about Kate they used words like 'level-headed', 'well equipped for the Big Brother experience', 'uncomplaining', ‘resilient’, 'entering into the spirit of Big Brother', 'tough' and 'smart' so I would say that the reasoning of her character was non-partisan. They gave reasons to approve or disapprove of each of the housemates. And I can’t think of a reason for Channel 4 having a favourite in the final week, which they wanted public opinion to swing towards. Also why e-mail The Sun newspaper? Like their coverage of Big Brother is always reasonable, sensible and gracious to the housemates. Not. |

I would say that out of the four character profiles, the psychologists gave more reasons to vote for Alex and Jade - certainly in terms of the factors that appeal to the public when deciding who to vote for.
Alex - their summary was that he is a geniune person, he whinges sometimes but also has a laugh Jade - their summary was that she has had her ups and downs but has been on a journey of self-discovery and has learned things about herself When they moved onto Kate and Jonny, they were still balanced, but slightly less in favour of them: Kate - their summary was basically that she was a nice person, but hasn't really learned anything about herself in the time and therefore maybe isn't as vulnerable as needed for the public to vote her to win Jonny - their summary was that he has played the game according what he thinks should be the characteristics of the winner and therefore he has had a lot of fun but hasn't necessarily been 100% true to himself Hmmmm .... who wins?? You decide!! |

I agree Sticks to an extent, I think the psychologists always lean towards Alex. As for the bias towards Jade, the poor girl needs it - everything else has crucified her, on the telly and in the papers!
However, I have no time for the psychologists - they generally speak a lot of crap (sorry, but on the TV show they do!). They even said Alex and Kate had a deep and meaning ful relationship and that Alex was awful to her because hehad strong feelings for her - please! Did I miss that bit? Alex was awful because he didn't like her. I think sometimes people can go a bit far with psychoanalysis - sometimes people do things for a straight forward reason, not for hidden meaning. But I think most of the viewers know that. GO KATE - YOU CAN SEE THE FINISH LINE!!!! Small question: I was browsing what had happeed on the website #(official one) whilst I was on holiday, and it said Jade and Kate made birthday 'cakes' for Spencer and went into the diary room to sing to him in German - why was this never shown?? I reckon that would have been funny to watch (the singing that is, not the making of cakes!) Maybe if Alex joined in they might have, to show his 'generosity'. |

I agree that the so called professionals carried out a bi of a hatchet job on Jonny and Kate, they were a little less harsh on Jade but in their eyes Alex can do no wrong, maybe they have been shown very selective sections to base their conclusions on, I mean can you imagine that any of them actually watch BB becasue I certainly can not.
