Default DO NOT vote for Alex

Do NOT vote for Alex. We are being manipulated to do so. For some reason C4 have clearly made up their minds that they want Alex to win. If you have ANY doubts about the truth of this watch the repeat of Big Brother with the psychologists. [if you didn’t already see it] They said wonderful, lovely things about Alex presenting him and a hero and genuine guy who has no ulterior motives in anything he does, conveniently ignoring how nasty, unsupportive and negative he has been. The other 3 candidates have all been portrayed and selfish and unworthy of winning. I am very angry about the completely BIASED way the whole show has revolved around Alex. Right from week two when Davina said Alex was in the lead over Alison to be evicted and therefore ensuring that his pro-vote was boosted.

I thought they were supposed to be fair. They clearly are not and I feel quite sick of the whole thing.

If you agree with me you can tell them too. Email them on editor@bigbrother.channel4.com or bigbrother@channel4.com

Bad show Big Brother. Do not vote for Alex. Despite their portrayals he is selfish, sulky bully boy who deserves to go first on Friday night if not before.

Whilst not disagreeing with anything you say Aimee - why do Ch4 WANT Alex to win?

It's clear that some of their coverage is biased in his favour but I don't know why. Anyone got a clue?

I don't think they are biased in Alex's favour at all but, if they are, maybe it's because he makes them laugh too, Susieq.

Maybe he is an example to us all, a clean living boy who doesn't pee in the shower, leaves the toilet seat down, and loves his Mum and Dad so much that he gave up cocaine and ecstasy just to make them happy!

I'm not disputing the fact that Alex can at times be a very funny guy with a completely wicked sense of humour!

The problem is that at other times he can be so vicious and manipulative and downright nasty and condescending to the other housemates. He acts like he is better than them and will only interact if he feels like it!

Surely we don't want someone like that to win purely because he makes us laugh sometimes! That Houdini chicken has made me laugh too, shall I vote for her?

You have to admit that if that's the case, it's pretty pathetic. Jonny is just as funny, if not more so, than Alex - only without that touch of cruelty that a lot of Alex's humour seems to carry with it.

Kate has provided lots of laughs in the house, again without any particular negative 'spin' to it. Alex has, on occasions, made me smile but he always seems to spoil it by going just that little bit too far and it becomes nasty. I think this is what's made him less than the others in my eyes. There is usally a flip side coming when Alex is in one of his jokey moods.

My standpoint is that Alex is wittier than Jonny. Jonny's humour is more slapstick. I would say that he confuses fooling around with being funny.

Alex's anecdote tonight about the sheep bleating made me laugh.

Miriam - my heart was in my mouth then. I thought, "that's done it - the stress of BB3 has been too much and she's flipped". I had visions of a floppy hat, sunglasses and a rather fetching pink jumper and came out in a cold sweat. Then I remembered - oh the chicken!

All is calm, deep breaths, think "deep, blue ocean".

Don't give me a fright like that without forewarning, it's not good for me!!

Thanks Sticks. and I agree with susieq, Alex is cruel. Jonny's humour may be more physical than cerebral but he is KIND. That wins for me. Kate also has not fallen into the bullying trap so if either win over Alex, I will be pleased that the blatant C4 manipulating hasn't worked. YEY!!!

I think Jonny is kind too, Aimee. I also think he's a genuinely nice guy and I like him very much. If he wins, I'll be quite happy for him.

It's just that I have this soft spot for Alex, you see.

I do not think I am being manipulated particularly if I choose to vote for Alex.

I am not at all sure who my vote will go to this week.

Last year I desperately wanted Helen to win, against the odds and the hype. Although I know Brian was a talented stand out character, I thought Helen had been completely herself and thoroughly deserved it

This year there is not the same set up at all. I don't dislike any of the four desperately. Jade is unlikely to win unless there is a massive media campaign on her behalf. She will however be 'massive' on the same lines that Helen was last year. She will make a lot of money, and appear in every newspaper and magazine.

Jonny is a nice lad, I wouldn't mind him winning, but he doesn't inspire me.

Kate and Alex are for me neck and neck at the moment.

I don't understand the hatred and strong dislike which some people have for him. He's eccentric, but he isn't cruel.

I certainly didn't see his outburst at Jade as particularly cruel. She had driven him more and more insane. She drove them all insane to be fair, and I felt really sorry for Kate and Jonny when she came at them like a banshee as they emerged from the diary room. I am a placid type, but I think my hands would have been round her throat, or I would have stuck that pointy finger she was jabbing in their faces where the sun don't shine.

Alex is odd, he's very entertaining, and unfortunately for him he has been easily led, by Sandy, Adele, and the ghastly Tim. Why? Because he is used to doing as he is bid by outspoken, opinionated parents.

He does make me laugh. He's in with a chance of my vote

Kate is a good lass too. She doesn't inspire me either, but I like her. She has been assisted in popularity immensely by losing Spencer early on. She would not have stood a chance if he had stayed another couple of weeks. Spencer and PJ had it all sewn up, two great lads together, and they affected everyone else.
Kate is in with a better chance of getting my vote than Jonny.

But the jury is still out for me

I'll make my own mind up, thanks very much!

When Jade wanted to make peace the following morning. Alex had to be a cruel mind player and let the dispute drag on longer than needed. He is manipulative and really quite sinister at times.

This afternoon I have been watching some of my own recording of BB3. Alex may be funny at times (mainly when drunk) but he can be cruel and vindictive. Not a nice chappy at all.

Well said Bananarama!

Also, when Wee-gate occurred, Jonny tried to make the peace with Alex on more than one occassion only to be brushed off the same was Jade was.

Obviously Alex will only be nice when he wants to be!

I completely agree ROB. I would really like to see Alex win, and I am not voting for him because I am being manipulated by C4, nor am I doing it because I fancy him. I'm voting for him cos I find him the most entertaining to watch and the most original character in the house .

I must admit I am still sitting on the fence about who I want to win, I seem to change from day to day. I think theres been manipulation throughout the show with some very clever editing going on. But against most of the people here I do feel that Alex is being Alex with all his warts - if he is feeling upset with someone he shows it, doesnt put on a show to cover it up. And then he comes out with really good one liners. At the moment I think Jade will come fourth, but as for the others I like Jonny but he put me off a bit by admitting that he is not being himself and acting as he would normally - makes me wonder is it all show. Kate has grown on me but at this point in time I think my vote will go to Alex.

None of them are being themselves. Jonny just analysed his own behaviour and told Kate where he would have reacted differently on the outside. What's wrong with that?

Funnily enough I was talking about this to someone at work today. I don't think it's that odd to change your behaviour in this sort of situation. We all do it at work, don't we? We put up with things that we simply wouldn't tolerate outside. It doesn't mean we're acting, playing a game, or that we normally beat the cr@p out of everyone we disagree with, just that you have to bite your tongue in certain situations or suffer the consequences!

I can't say I'm particularly bothered who wins, but it WILL be interesting to watch. It could go any way as far as I'm concerned, all four of them are very strong characters that have brought something special to the house. They still don't arouse any strong feelings in me either way though unfortunately!
