Default Question about infractions/bans

Say when you receive enough points for a ban [9 points]...once the ban is finished, are all the points wiped off?

Or do they remain until they have expired?

They remain until they expire.

It goes towards the total of your next ban...the 9 goes onto 15. 15 points is a 2 day ban I think. It goes up depending on the number of total active points you have

I actually think they should stay forever to be honest...because sometimes this happens...

Someone gets a one point infraction and is knocked into a day ban. During the ban another one point expires. This means that the next one pointer they get, knocks them straight back into a ban...and then they are more annoyed

True, but then the bans would have to get stupidly long.

Which is a good thing, people would be more likely to follow the rules then

I thought the two day ban was a total amount of points being 16?

That's also true, but the gaps between the infraction milestones would have to be widened I think.

Because I don't know about other people but if I got a 6 month ban [for example], I doubt I'd ever bother returning...no point really.

Not necessarily. We managed fine before with the 3 strikes and you are out policy.

1st was a days ban, second a week and third permanent. People didnt push their luck so much then.
