Default What did Davina do/say to Makosi during her BB5 eviction interview......

.....that made so many people stop watching BB all together?

When I say "so many people" I actually mean a lot of my friends so I'm guessing lots of others did too.

BB6 I mean.

It was BB6!

And the only bad thing she said was, in a sly way, "the joke about "baby Jacuzzi" didn't help matters".

I didn't know it made a lot of people stop watching. The next series BB7 did better, ratings wise.

I can't remember it all that well.. The crowd were booing badly and I don't think Davina said anything too offensive, she just made it really obvious that she didn't like Makosi and managed to keep the crowd hostile all the way through the interview..

God there were folk on the C4 forum who wanted Davina sacked and even dead!

The interview wasn't exactly unfair in light of the way she behaved in the house, and this is coming from a fan. There were worse interview cock-ups that year, such as Sam. I did love the way you could tell Davina couldn't physically stand Maxwell though.

i honestly do not remember her saying anything untoward to Makosi in her series. I do think though that some people will alway be more sensitive to stuff like that or pick fault where there is none

Davina, quite rightly, gave her a hard time because of her awful behaviour in the house...

The problem was that up until that point. Davina had always bee nice and friendly to hms when the left. If a hm was getting booed. She would go up to them and whisper someting in their ear. Which was to make them feel better. Often during the interview she would make the hm feel at easy. By saying "it is all panto booing ". She would always try to find the good. Who ever they where. That interview she was just cold. She did not whisper anything in her ear. The whole interview she did nothing to make her feel better.

I am not a makosi fan. But if you are going to be nice and friendy to every other hm you have ever done an interview with. You can just stop that for 1 person. Then go back to the nice act after that.

I think you give Davina too much credit. She wasn't particularly friendly to Sam in her interview and she did nothing wrong at all. The same applies to Becki, who was interviewed infront of a booing crowd no less.

Of course she was completely pally and nice to Grace, but this is post-BB6 Davina we are talking about and she only did it because she was friends with Mariella Frostrup, Grace's godmother.

I remember that interview it was a particular low point for Davina. It was a strange one though, after stripping down to her bikini we would have thought Davina would have been a bit more friendly.

The Makosi interview wasn't as bad as many claim but it was incredibly mean spirited. It was clear Davina didnt like her. The questions were fair enough but it was the lack of protection from Davina for a stunned Makosi that probably put a lot of people off. As many have already stated Davina usually helps the HM's deal with the crown but she decided not to with Makosi.

Davina also tends to lead people into giving answers she thinks the public want to hear. When a hm does not follow her lead and give the right answers. You can see Davina get annoyed. This is because she is not in control of the interview.
