I love this franchise, I watched the original series as research for my final project in College and I loved the films that followed. Death Note's about a notebook that kills anyone who's name is written in it and this chap called Light finds it and he uses it to kill criminals, this catches the attention of the police and they bring in this secretive but incredibly talented Detective who goes by the name 'L' to find out who's behind the killings. The trailers don't really do it justice but the Death Note films are well worth checking out if you get the chance.

My wife who's Japanese enjoys the series but Its nothing special I prefer the ring series it's a little more real and believable

The Ring series has aged badly really, all the conventions it kickstarted has become quite cliched now. I find Death Note to be a bit more original and engaging personally.

The series is excellent, although it does go a bit down hill after the 26th episode.

He ruined the series. It would have been better to have focused on other villains instead of just Light Vs L throughout!!!

Plus, The woman on it who was killed HAD SO MUCH POTENTIAL!! The chinese lady who was with the FBI! Her character was just introduced and she was killed off!!

you mean naomi,yes i would have liked her to have lasted longer aswell.
