Lol, yeah I was thinking the same thing. Those are decent movies, but there are much better movies in that same genre. I can see Taken being a top 5 tho. Its somewhere in my top 30.

I honestly can't do a definitive top 5, so I'll do my top 5's according to genre, and sure even then it's far too difficult. Anyway, I'll have a shot at comedies first.

Typical. The moment I post these I'm remembering classics I've forgotten.

This is tough, much tougher than the top 40 I did a while back. but here's what I could come up with... in no particular order.

As a side note, I LOVE this poster

Nice David, very nice, although I'm not a huge huge fan of Cache. It's great though.

Haneke isn't for everyone. I must admit, Hidden was the first movie of his I really liked. Haven't seen the White Ribbon yet though.

Kick Ass

4.
Spoiler:

Winter's Bone

3.
Spoiler:

Resident Evil: Afterlife 3D

I watched Winter's Bone recently based on you having it in your list Claudia, and I have to say I was very impressed with it.

It's really good isn't it. I was expecting a horror type film, but the film really opened my eyes and had me on the edge of my seat. I'd love to see more like it.

I love a good independent type movie like that that really draws you into the enviroment and area where it's shot... it all seemed so authentic, you know? The isolation and coldness of the landscaped echoed the reserved nature of the inhabitants. Incredibly realistic, sparse in dialogue and it actually stayed with me afterwards, particularly the girl in the lead who was absolutely exceptional. Hope she gets more parts.

Yea, she was amazing. It did seem more real than most films, and yea a lot is left unsaid, but it's still very easy to follow, also there was hardly a soundtrack to the movie at all.
