Yep. It kind of invalidates the boot camp and judges house phases. It seems clear that the performances in those phases dont matter and it seems to be down to whether the mentor likes your 'swagger'. At some point during the live shows Simon will smugly state that this is a talent competition . No its not and it hasnt been for quite a while. Maybe even never.

Its not out of the question. The two white girls who messed up got thru over black girls who gave their all and sang well. We have to wonder how did this happen?

I am shocked Gamu didn't get through, I really liked her. However, I'm thrilled that Katie got through as I love her!

At the end of the day, it's Cheryl's decision. It's who she found to be her favourite. She's not choosing each person in the countries favourite.

I think you might have a point there. Gamu is leagues above Cher and Katie talent wise imo, that was an utter disgrace.

IMO the strongest category has just been ruined.

I agree with Rebecca, but feel that Gamu and Treyc were the next best. I even think Keri and Anastasia would of done very good.

But Katie is a liability, and Cher is through cos Cheryl likes her and not on any singing ability.

Gamu's performance at boot camp was up there with the best this year. And I'm not that much of a fan. How did she not get thru? Its baffling . LOL

Really? Well not this one!! I couldn't care less as overall i've never been attracted to Black boys. And it's vice versa, I get grief from white girls and black boys because of who I date. Let's not get into it I could write 2 essays on this.

My top 3 WHICH SHOULD HAVE F U C K I N G HAPPENED!

Rebecca - Annoying accent makes me wana kill myself. But shes got a recording voice. AMAZING

Treyc - By far the best singer out of the whole competition. 2nd time round shes improved even more. Versatile. Killer voice.

Gamu - Quirky, Got the support of the public ALREADY! . And she would bloody sell records.

Cheryl should just be kicked off the bloody show. Wat a Miserable FAIL

Take a look at the charts when you have time. Most artists are not great singers technically. Most megafamous singers are not great tecnically.

Its called Xfactor because thats what its about....finding that Xfactor in an artist. Both Cher and Katie clearly have a passion for music and want to be creative artists. As long as they give the songs their own unique spin then they could bring something special to the show. Its essentially about choosing songs that compliment your vocal abilities and suit your own style. Not everybody needs to sing big songs with a big voice.

Sade has a weak voice but has specialised in a unique sound that is essentially Sade. She stays within her vocal range. And her fans have stuck with her for over 20 years in their millions.
