Default Driving lessons

Im starting driving lessons next week.

Is anyone else here a recent or current learner? If so, what shall I expect for the first lesson?

Thanks

I remember in my first lesson, my instructor took me to a carpark and let me practice getting a feel for the clutch, which eventually led to doing figure of 8's at different speeds. After an hour and a bit of getting used to the car, I was allowed to drive home.

The best thing to remember when learning, is to be confident.. It's hard to crash or do anything bad, as the instrcutor has a set of pedals too, so take things at an easy pace, and it will all fit into place

Good luck!

- Mark

As I'm still 15, I can't give any advice for obvious reasons. But just wanted to wish you all the best for the lessons, I'm sure you'll do great!

During holidays my Mum take me to a disused air field near our house that I can practice driving on, I fing clutch control the hardest part, i bet that that will feature somewhere in your 1st lesson cc100.
Ive got my Provisional Licence but ive recently started 6th form and not found much time to practice, I think i'll wait to summer hols till i statr again

I'm currently taking driving lessons and loving it, at first i was very nervous which is understandable but then by the second lesson i couldn't wait to get in the car again and now i'm pretty close to booking my theory, all i can say is keep relaxed and enjoy it, don't worry about the other cars around you everyone was like you at some point.
