What do you class as it? I'd say Fall Out Boy, Sum 41, Panic At The Disco. There was a load of bands that came out with that kinda sound a few years ago. Some of the stuff is catchy but it all has that toned down squeaky clean kinda sound

I refer to it as pop-rock; pop based songs (catchy melody, common chord sequences etc) but with the vocals/guitar/bass/drums format. I wouldn't call it pop-punk [hate that name, it's a contradiction in itself] because it's not overly similar to bands like Rancid/Anti-Flag/Reel Big Fish etc. but I can see why people would call bands like FoB and P!ATD pop-punk due to the evolution of the music I guess.
