Big Brother winner Anthony Hutton is recovering at home after being attacked in a Manchester nightclub.
The 24-year-old was treated in hospital for what police described as minor facial injuries.
Anthony, who won last year's reality TV show, was on a night out with friends in Manchester last weekend when a fight broke out.
Recovering at home in Consett, County Durham, he said: "I'm OK, I feel fine, but I am not too happy about the state of my face . . . what with me being a vain young lad.
"I'm a bit battered and bruised."
Anthony was treated for cuts and bruises at Manchester Royal Infirmary after the incident in the Baby Grand club, in Manchester.
He had been making a personal appearance in Chester on Friday night and stayed in the North West to go out with friends the following night.
A police spokeswoman said: "Officers went to Baby Grand at around 4.10am, where a 24-year-old man was found with minor facial injuries. He was taken to Manchester Royal Infirmary for treatment and was subsequently discharged.
"A 25-year-old man from Higher Poynton was arrested at the scene on suspicion of a Section 47 assault. He has been bailed until May 7, pending further inquiries."
Anthony won £50,000 last summer in Big Brother.
Since leaving the house, the former 1970s-style nightclub dancer has released a keep-fit DVD and appeared in pantomime in Darlington.
He also appeared in celebrity football show The Match, at St James' Park, in October and is to audition for a part in New Money, a £5m film set in Newcastle.
He said: "There are a couple of things in the pipeline for the summer which, if they come off, I'll be really chuffed about."
