I've changed my name by deed poll. Well, just waiting for the documents to sign. But as of today I have my OH's surname. We're not religious or fussed about marriage but have been together nearly 17 years. I decided that as a Christmas/New years gift I'd change my name to that of my OH and daughter

Nice one! Is it difficult to change your name? I haven't the slightest clue about it and have often toyed with the idea of changing my name to something else. Good on ye

Very easy. You can either go through a solicitor or even do it online. It costs (I paid £29) though make sure it's ligit. I went through my city register office
