NME are way too easily excited by some things. Their days as a great music publication are far behind them.

I'm quite bored with how hypocritical they are. They have Klaxons and MGMT in this list but then go on to cite both albums as "disappointing" and some of the biggest "letdowns" of 2010.

I can only surmise the list was compiled by more than one person. There is no unifying line of thought in the list. Nobody in the right mind would intermittently splice the likes of the Fall and Deerhunter with My Chemical Romance.

It's a terrible list, I like Mystery Jets, Hurts, Klaxons & MGMT but their newest albums are nowhere near the best of the year and the lack of M.I.A is shocking. The Drums are far too high. All the writers contradict each other too much really, you'll have one slating an album and another putting it as one of the best of the year.
