After I read there maybe a new Star Wars Trilogy I thought of a storyline I thought would be cool.

Here is my idea

set 25-30 years after Return of the Jedi
The Republic has enjoyed 25 years of peace and freedom, however there is much corruption in the Senate and crime on the streets.
Quite a number of senators are growing restless with the level of crime on Coruscant and also on other planets of the Republic such as Tatooine. Some even wish a return to the much stricter days of the Empire.
Lando Calrissian has risen to become the Chancellor and does his best to oppose cries for a tougher justice system.
Han and Leia are married but have been separated for a good number of years due to many problems and arguments. It is clear that they still love each other very much though.
They have a son, mid 20s and very much like his father.
Solo Jr now owns the millenium falcon with Chewbacca his co-pilot.
Leia works in the Senate alongside Lando, trying to resist his charms every day.
Han has a shipyard on Coruscant, where he repairs and trades old ships. He is well known within the underbelly of Coruscant, frequenting bars and clubs often.
Luke is the only known Jedi left in the galaxy, he resides within the Jedi Temple and offers council to Lando and the other senators.
Solo Jr was a very promising padawan when younger, being trained by Luke. His personality caused him to abandon his training in his teens though and follow his father's footsteps.

Film opens with camera panning down to show Coruscant, with the Millenium Falcon entering shot.
He and Chewbacca are greeted by Leia and then observe some debate within the Senate between Lando and and other Senators regarding the above problems.
Next they head to see Han at his shipyard where is working on a new ship. They go for a drink at a nearby club and talk about the new ship, old times etc

At some point during the first half hour of the film, we see one of the new major characters from the Senate chamber in the Jedi Libary. He finds out about some secret project based on Kamino that is over 50 years old.
He takes an aide with him and they set off for Kamino.
Once there the Kaminoans welcome him and show him through to a secret laboratory.
After Darth Maul had been killed by Obi-Wan, Darth Sidious had recovered his body and instructed the Kaminoans to preserve his body on ice for a period of 50-60 years as a failsafe in case the Sith lost their battle with the Jedi.
This was highly classified top secret and only Sidious and a few of his followers knew along with the Kaminoans, who are not part of the Republic.
The Kaminoans tell the Senator it is time. Darth Maul returns.
The Senator tries to persuade Maul to work alongside him to overthrow the Reublic and return it to the glory days of the Empire.
Maul responds by saying No, you will work for me and begins to force choke him. Senator agrees reluctantly.
Maul makes his way to Coruscant in a cool new ship left on Kamino by Sidious.

Once on Coruscant he keeps a very low profile and observes the local underbelly of the huge city up close.
During this time, he encounters a young woman in her mid-late 20s.
He senses something unusual about her and that the force is strong within her.
Eventually she becomes his new apprentice and we also later find out that her mother was a prostitute during the time of the Empire and Sidous is her father! She has had no training yet Maul knows she has potential to become a powerful Sith.

Sidious gained power through cunning and patience etc.

Darth Maul is the opposite, he eventually creates a huge new army of Imperial Destroyers, Stormtroopers etc and attacks Coruscant head on.
His main objective is not only to regain power for the Sith, but to destroy and reek havoc.

Also in the prequels, there were many Jedi/Sith. In this new trilogy it would be just Luke and Solo Jr as Jedi and Maul and female bad ass apprentice as Sith.

I call him Solo Jr a lot lol any ideas for a good name? Anakin or Ben maybe but too obvious?
