Class Acts
8 May 2006 “I READ in a magazine that my ring was the classiest over Victoria Beckham and Jordan’s!” says Chantelle in OK!. Given that Jordan is in the remedial class for social graces, we are unsure what to make of Chantelle’s comment, or of Posh’s role in the bigger picture. Perhaps it is just the fact that Chantelle is now mentioned in the same breath as Vicky and Katie that proves, as if proof were needed, that our favourite Essex girl is a true star. And like her celebrity agonists, Chantelle’s life is perfect. Just listen: “I don’t want to sound completely smug,” says Chantelle, “but my life is perfect. “It’s like a princess story,” says Chantelle, who might not have heard what happened to Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Princess Diana. And like all Princesses, Chantelle needs her prince. And, of course, his name is Preston, who rode into town on a nippy hatchback and popped the question. And no, he did not ask her to marry him because she was pregnant. Chantelle is not with child. And, even if she was, she says it is not too soon to get engaged. Oh, and she is not having a hen night. “I’m not having one,” says Chantelle, “because every hen night seems to involve willies.” Walking around with L-plates tied to her front and rear bumpers is Chantelle’s idea of a “nightmare”. She wants her wedding to be classy from first to last: her girls’ night out will be a quiet dinner; the wedding may have a Charlie And The Chocolate Factory theme, albeit without edible Willy Wonkas. http://www.anorak.co.uk//news.cfm?id=169575 |
