The Snood will be banned.
FIFA president Sepp Blatter said: ‘A snood is not part of the equipment and it can be dangerous, even like hanging somebody. The decision was unanimous. There was not even a discussion because this is not part of the uniform. ‘I was a player in both winter and summer weather and I never wore a snood. We must pay attention to the laws of the game. It was rejected unanimously not only by the board today but, before, by all the technical staff and by the secretary-generals. It’s a non-issue.’ So, fashion sense did not come into it, and neither did Sir Alex Ferguson’s view of snoods, the Manchester United manager having declared: ‘They are for powder puffs.’ Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti said: ‘Ban them? No, it’s cold.’ Bolton boss Owen Coyle added: ‘I don’t have a problem with players wearing them, if that’s what they want to do.’ Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/foo...#ixzz1FliINZ4U Views?

Big news indeed. To hell with the economic cuts, the troubles in Libya etc. This is the BIG news.

Even in the football section its still hardly 'massive' news.
On topic - Who really cares? Some players like them some dont. Some managers like them some dont. Thats it.

Outside of the actual games and injury news etc what else is there?
I feel its a bit pathetic to ban them to be fair, and in sep blatters words "its like hanging them" i guess he means if someone pulls it.. but really lol...

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

to be honest it's more of a sissy move to ban them for being "dangerous", than the players being sissies for wearing them.

I can't agree with the description, but I agree with the sentiment - football is supposed to be a hard game for hard men, not an afternoon Alpine ascent or an Antactic expedition for amateurs .....
