Default House could have cow

Quote:
Big udder for Big Brother

By SARA NATHAN and VERONICA LORRAINE

BIG Brother chiefs are ready to make housemates cattle it out among themselves — by giving them a COW.

Normally contestants have to look after a brood of chickens in the BB house garden.

But because of the scare over bird flu, producers are looking at alternative farmyard animals for Big Brother 7, which starts this Thursday.

BB chief Phil Edgar-Jones said: “We are thinking about having a cow in the house. We always try to have some animals and a cow is something we are looking at.”

Chickens were introduced in the first series six years ago and contestants have to feed and clean them out.

Housemate Darren Ramsey, who was obsessed with them, scored a £100,000 fee for a Chicken Tonight advert after the first show.

In Big Brother 3, with Jade Goody, one of the birds had to leave the pen because of stress.

In 2004 Michelle called lover Stu “chicken” — and during Celebrity Big Brother 2, Les Dennis spent most of his time chatting to the hens as his marriage hit the rocks.

Meanwhile pals of stunning BB 7 hopeful Bonnie Holt, 19, warned she plans to flirt her way to fame.

Bonnie, 19, from Loughborough, Leics, pushed her way to the front of the queue during auditions in Birmingham and makes no secret of her ambitions.

She will fight it out with 11 rivals for the show’s £70,000 first prize and the opportunities it brings.

Mad Fer It
15 May 2006

“OLD MOO SET FOR BIG BROTHER...AND WE DON’T MEAN JADE,” says the Star.

This is “BIG BRUDDER”, the font-page news of how this year’s Big Brother TV show will feature a cow.

What this has to do with Jade Goody we can only guess at. The Big Brother product has been compared to a pig on many occasions but never to a cow.

Is the Star guilty of adapting the story to fit to its agenda?

Whatever the validity of the story’s Jade element, we wonder if viewers will be allowed to vote for and against the beast and if it is possible that we could be presented with our first non-human winner.

Jade finished in 4th place.

Big Brother To Go Farmyard
By: Lowri Williams on 5/15/2006

Big Brother bosses are planning on bewildering the new housemates on their arrival by sticking a live cow in the garden.

This year there won’t be any milk on the housemates shopping lists instead if they require milk they will have to do it farm yard style by milking the cow!

A Big Brother insider told the Daily Star: “This is going to be a great surprise for the housemates. We’ve never had a cow before.”
