__________________________________________________ ________ Dancing On Ice's Christopher Dean praises Sam Attwater and Chloe Madeley... but fails mention third finalist Laura Hamilton The three Dancing on Ice finalists have all been at the top of the leader board as well as finding themselves taking part in the skate-off at different points of the competition. But earlier today Olympic gold medal skater Christopher Dean appeared to suggest that injured Sam Attwater will be the one to watch on Sunday’s show. The former EastEnders actor was on the receiving end of some high-praise indeed from the skating mentor who confirmed that despite his rib injury he was ‘really, really strong’. Dean, who made the comments on ITV’s Loose Women earlier today said: ‘This week he is going to be really strong. Technically he is really good he has also performed in the theatre so he knows how to show off.’ The Olympic medal winner also praised Chloe Madeley and said: ‘She’s great she was the school girl to begin with and then she sort of nurtured and channeled her thoughts and energies into performing.’ He said the competition was too close to call and added that all three had been at the top of the leader board and had all competed in the skate off he failed to praise the third finalist Laura Hamilton, suggesting Sunday’s final will be a two-horse race. And he isn’t the only one who appears not to have faith in her ability – Laura has been questioning her own chances too. The Children’s TV presenter has said she is scared she isn’t in the running for the skating title because her fan base isn’t strong enough. Laura admitted she was ‘scared’ about the final and said: ‘Of course I was worried the fact not many people knew me could go against me.’ 'I always knew from week one when it was completely down to the public vote that we'd struggle to make it through. You don't know how the public have taken to you - that's why we didn't expect to get this far,’ Laura told the Daily Mirror. But while the skater might not be overly confident on the ice it appears she is focusing on her next career move and is hoping to be sticking around on-screen in the future and has mentioned she would love a shot at the Xtra Factor presenting role. The TV presenter, who ditched her job at Nickelodeon to appear on the skating show has revealed that she would love a shot at the Xtra Factor role on ITV2, made vacant after Konnie Huq was booted off the show after just one series. Laura said: ‘To present something like Xtra Factor would be amazing.’ ‘I’m 29 in April and like everyone else in their career, I want to move forward .’
