Well yeah they still would have most likely.

Would have just blamed it on a film or a tv series or something instead of the game :/

Violent Games cause Violent People.

If you asked someone what an AK-47 was 20 years ago. No one would know but now 8 year olds do!!

This is because of the violent video games created.

I agree with what a few others have said, they may put ideas into a some peoples heads but those people were probably a bit messed up in the first place and would have commited a crime at some point wether they played video games or not.

Yeah, but there's a difference between knowing what an AK-47 is and using an AK-47.

No! Dead Space is a thrilling Science Fiction game which keeps you interested. 10 / 10

I doubt anyone is going to walk about like a Necromorph and start killing people.

Only in the same way that reading about a violent crime in, say, a newspaper, or true-crime novels, or documentaries, would - by inadvertently giving the psychotic ideas. That's not to say we should stop from the majority's enjoyment - if anything violence in games/films just reinforces our morals that such acts are wrong.

I doubt an 8 year old is going to steal cars, shoot cops and run over random people but yet you still don't think they should be playing GTA4.

I wonder how much good video games have done in terms of amount of hours spent inside nerding it up over being out on the street getting hammered and humping parked cars.

No, people might get some ideas from it, but those who actually go and do it would have done regardless, its a cop out to say the games did it.

No, people cause violent crime. Games are just an excuse politicians use to gain votes and for parents to shift the blame. It really annoys me when people blame a game, music, films, TV, books ETC as it takes the blame away from the guilty party. If someone raises a gun or a weapon and uses it then it's own their own heads. No one else is to blame but themselves.

If someone has the capacity to kill then the problem's existed long before the game came onto the scene.

How hypocritical, don't you carve up creatures into bits in that game? You can't take a stance against violent games and then say some are okay because they are not realistic. It's all or nothing otherwise anything you say becomes pointless.

I think you have missed the point.

He said what can 8 year olds do exposed to this kind of violence in video games and I was stating that it could cause other Jamie Bulgar killing.

Next?

Well FYI I got 12 A* - A grades for my GCSE.

Plus was in the TOP 2% of the Country for GCSE English Lang and Lit.

So the title remains the same.
