Default Rewatch and discuss BIG BROTHER 2000

THE LINKS ARE NOW WORKING!!!!

FOR ANYONE WHO NEVER GOT TO SEE THE ORIGINAL BIG BROTHER HERE IT IS

[B]Okay, so the idea is we will be watching a series of BB like the first time it's aired and discussing it episode by episode.

Its gonna be 2 episodes per day.

For all you late comers to BB this is a chance for you to see where it all began.

a few rules:

•No discussing anything further than the latest episode posted.
•No revealing the results of nominations/evictions, etc.
•No hints about things that happen later in the series
•Basically, discuss the series as if you're watching it for the first time, as some people will be.

Sorry for the poor sound but it improves on later episodes-Stick with it

Looking forward to this!

I work odd hours so I'll probably struggle to keep up but I'll be watching.

I loved BB6 but didn't watch enough of BB2 so I don't mind tbh. If you can get BB1 working one day I'd be up for it

What is very striking is how fast Nick is working on playing the game to avoid nomination so early on.This just reminds me why i love BB in the early years so much,i hope C5 are listening.

Days 1-3:

Just a few secs in and OMG! Marcus' voice, the fact the first few days are pre-recorded and how I do really like the BB1 house. Meeting the HMs was a bit rushed but I guess that's just cos it's a chance for us to get to know them based on what the get up to next. Bring it!

Ha! The chickens are loving it. Oh, here we go with the VTs. Forget what I said earlier. Craig seems friendly - he's got a bit of a joker grin. I like him. People like Sada - veggies that eat fish - confuse me. At least she's said it's just because she doesn't like the grit of a beef burger but you do get the occasional twit that clings on to the idea it was a living thing yet they can still eat fish? Caroline and Nichola look like fun. Lol at how bored they are already if they're playing basketball. It seems the guys are bonding over that whilst the girls are bonding though chatting.

LOL at Mel: "Ok, I'm bored of this now and it's getting me wet!" Andy: "Well, I don't really want to/need to know that." Did you like that Dan? The truth/lie game is good for a first night and a good way to get to know the HMs. Anna's the first 'out there' HM - a lesbian ex-nun. Christ, that bathroom is sh!t. I still actually like the house but it is a bit bare. Speaking of bare - Craig!

Ah, the Millennium Dome. What a load of sh!t. At least Darren's happy. And here's the first task! I think Andrew comes across as the most boring so far tbh. Fair enough if he likes his go-karting but we didn't learn much more from him. Mel’s single. I bet she’s dated some right tits…
Spoiler:

Sada seems nice but I don’t think she’s relatable because the hippie thing throws me and she does kinda remind me of Tara Palmer-Tomkinson too. Tom looks a bit like Michael Fassbender. LMAO at Andrew on Melanie’s nipples: “It’s like she’s smuggling peanuts in.” And the clay penis! Ha!

Nichola is amazing. If Anna’s the first ‘out there’ HM then Nichola has to be the first ‘character’. She’s just very interesting and lively. Lol at Anna and Mel pressing her against the wall. And now Craig’s joining in lol! This is so weird. They’re complete strangers and atm I think they’re still aware of the cameras yet they’re pressing each other’s naked bodies against walls and it seems oddly natural. There’s something about Marcus’ narration that’s a bit odd as well. It’s like his lines are forced but he’s trying to inject some sort of enthusiasm and style in to it. “Thomas didn’t get involved with the body printing. But he’s up for this.”

Ooh, Nick’s got the ball rolling. I’d still be aware it’s a game so I’d have no worries asking those sort of questions. There’s nothing wrong with that, it’s just being inquisitive. I reckon Sada and Tom are the most likely to go first for those reasons. And lol at Craig’s reaction to the toiler roll – “Heh heh heh. Sh!t.”

As a first episode I liked it because it just got on with the house action over the first few days rather than do what most later series did and just re-use a lot of the stuff you’d already see from the launch. But I think at the same time you could only take in little bits because it condensed all those days worth in to just an hour long episode. The BB3 thing was probably better having just the first 2 days HLs rolled in to 1 ep – or in BB11 when they skipped through the entrances very quickly and then just got on with what happened next. From that ep it’s hard to really say which HMs I like atm but they all seem likeable.

This episode just says it all for me,i love BB,love the house and most of all love the reality that the show was back then.Even tho it was so basic it was so much more fun to watch.Mel is a character to watch tho with the men.Andy seems to full of himself. How naive was Tom?Darren getting the first outside world reality check i forgot about that one.Marcus voice seems very dull,he really must ham it up these days.I forgot about the greenhouse too.Would like to have more discussion time BB.Anna seemed to summ up how to be a good housemate tho. Thanks again its so good to be reminded of what we had and not the rubbish we ended up with.

This is where BB really come alive from now on.Nominations were brief but to the point. The divide between the girls and boys is a key part to the outcome of the noms.Nick was quick to react to both the nominees and to console even tho he nommed them both.he really did only see this as a game show,in fact i feel that they all only see it as a tv game show with a cash prize at the end.darren is very savvy with how the media may be interested in who gets evicted etc.Andy is reminding me of a watered down version of Maxwell,a bit of a lad but much more likable tho.I was surprised to see him recieve a homemade gift from his mum for his birthday, some facts i have forgotten over time.A very well edited and fair episode i feel.BB really has begun.
