Jade denies rumoured spat with Kate

Big Brother star Jade Goody denies she has had a spat with winner Kate Lawler.

Reports had suggested she wanted to punch Kate for being manipulative in the house.

But Jade says she 'could have hit her' in the house, but it's now all been forgotten.

Speaking on a webchat, Jade said: "The thing is with Kate is that I actually didn't say all those things.

"I just said that there were some times in the house that I felt like I could have hit her but she knew that and I told her that in the house so it wasn't news to her.

"But it's all been forgotten and she knows what was actually said because I said it to her face. So, don't believe all you read."

Jade also played down newspaper reports that Kate would fight her for £200,000.

She said: "Kate was on the radio the other day and she does impressions of people and she had the papers write it in a very nasty format, well the papers did that, not her.

"She just said it in a funny accent on the radio and the papers wrote it out of context. So it was meant in a different way. The press made it sound bad but she was just playing."

I'm glad Jade has denied the alleged stories of a rift between her and Kate ............... but now I'm REALLY confused!

As far as I'm aware, Jade was signed up to tell her story exclusively to the News of the World and The Sun - where we've read for the past week that Kate is definitely not her favourite person.

Now in this webchat she's saying that what has been printed in the papers isn't true and that she didn't actually say all these things. WHAT????? Do you mean that the tabloids haven't been printing the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth????? I'm shocked!!! (NOT!)

Incidentally, anyone know which webchat Jade was taking part in when she said this?

I think she's only denying it now because she knows she'll have to see Kate face to face(book signing and SMTV)Thus proving Kate's belief that she is in fact two faced. She practically admitted to saying she wants to "chin" her on Graham Norton,Jade said cringed and said about Kate "she makes me look like a mug" and never denied saying that

But it seemed to me last night on Winners Wekk that Jade is suddenly turning it around to make it look as though Kate never spoke to her at the BBLB awards. After this week Jade has gone down in my estimation not only for saying she wants to "chin" kate but also for both virtually admitting she said it and yet denying it in the same week

You forget that Kate is the absolute villain of Big Brother

She stole the prize from the beloved angel Jade using the foulest of means.

Kate will be hated for all of time for her crimes

The tabloids say this is so, so it must be true.

I've already said what I think on other posts: The tabloids have added statements made by housemates whilst in the house to their stories. They can hardly deny saying things they said in front of the cameras and us, can they? And the law is such an ass that if they took the papers to court, the fact that they had said it at some time would ensure they lost.

After last years BB, a large number of things attributed to Helen were said by her in the house, and though the articles never actually said she had repeated them since, they were set out in such a way as to make you think she had. An example was making love on top so your hair doesn't get messed up, which was used to titillate stories about her and Paul and their relationship after the end of BB2.

That's the trouble with signing up to the press in this country: if you sleep with dogs you wake up with fleas!
