I have to admit, I am puzzled at the wording they use, wy there just can't be low, high, or critical like arista says, maybe people's confusion would be eased.

You can't say you are downgrading a level then say there is still likely an attack at any time so then also ask the public to keep very very vigilant.

It really irritates me how we're like one of the few countries to word our terror threat levels with things like 'critical' and stuff. I'd much rather just a 1, 2, 3, 4 system.

That said I don't think anyone really listens to the terror threat level all that much anyways. It was on critical for months without a single thing going wrong.
