GORGEOUS Kate Lawler is off on a Mediterranean holiday with the man of her dreams - Big Brother housemate Spencer. The pair, whose flirting in the TV house kept viewers gripped, have met four times in a week since Kate won the £70,000 prize. And Spencer - whom Kate nicknamed Spanky - has also confirmed that they could become much more than just good friends.

The 22-year-old from Cambridge said yesterday: "I just want to drink beer and live with Kate, so we can get married because we are in love."

He pretended it was just a joke. But, with Kate quashing rumours she is interested in Duncan James from boy band Blue, she has now left the door wide open for former punt operator Spencer.

Blonde Kate, from Beckenham, Kent, boosted hopes of a second Big Brother romance - after last year's between Helen Adams and Paul Clarke, who now live together in London - by saying: "Me and Spencer are going on holiday together to Spain. I have asked him because all the girls would love to have him as a toy." Kate and Spencer were reunited last Sunday - just two days after she became the first female winner of the fly-on-the-wall show.

Their comments were made as they - and other BB housemates - were filmed for a programme about Kate's week since winning the show. It was the second time the pair had met since the end of Big Brother.

On the first occasion, they chatted intently and gazed into each other's eyes at an after-show party to mark the end of the programme's third series. Kate, who revealed fears that she was ballooning in weight after going from a size eight to a 12, added: "Spencer's gorgeous." And she also admitted she was jealous over reports of Spencer seeing other girls since he left the TV house.

"He's such a cool dude," Kate said. "I've heard he's been going out with a girl each week since he left the house. Naughty Spencer." Pretending to sob, she added: "So he probably hasn't got any time for me."

Former IT worker Kate went on morning show SM: TV yesterday to deny reports that pop star Duncan James has been wooing her with text messages. Kate is a Blue fan and the pair met at the BB party after she admitted in the TV house that she fancied Duncan. But yesterday Kate said: "Duncan and I have only spoken once or twice on the phone. He hasn't been bombarding me with calls."

Last week, we revealed that Kate was desperate to see Spencer.

After leaving the BB house, she said: "Spencer used to be really funny with me and I didn't know if he liked me at all. But I want to see him again, although that's all I'll say about it."

And after his BB eviction, Spencer said: "I'd like to snog Kate. I'll see everybody when they get out of the house. That includes Kate and she would be pretty high up my list."

The couple met again at another bash at London's trendy CC club last Monday. Although Kate was pictured groping a male stripper, she spent most of the night with Spencer. And they were back together last Thursday for an official BB book launch. But, ironically, it's BB commitments that have kept the pair from seeing even more of each other.

Spencer was locked in discussions with his agent, Tony Fox, all day last Monday. He spent the following day discussing offers with Select Models, who signed him up. The hunk returned to Cambridge last Wednesday to see family and friends before meeting Kate the day after at the book launch.

Meanwhile, Kate has spent most of the week in Beckenham, seeing her family. She has signed a big deal to do an interview with a glossy magazine and was taken to a secret location for it. But those close to the pair predict they will soon be back in each other's arms.

Former housemate Jade Goody, 21, also appeared with Kate on SM:TV yesterday to be interviewed by last year's winner Brian Dowling. They appeared alongside ex-Steps stars H and Claire Richards and TV celebrity Tess Daly. But the BB girls were kept apart following reports of a feud between the two, which started when Jade accused Kate of being two-faced.

They were interviewed individually by gay Irishman Brian and only appeared together at the end of the two-hour programme.

But kick boxer Kate laughed off rumours of a rift with Jade - despite challenging her to a fight for £100,000 on national radio. She said: "We've spent the whole morning together and I don't know what all the big fuss is about."

The claim contradicted comments screened earlier in the week on E4 when Kate said she has been shunned since her win by former housemates Jade, Alex Sibley, 23 and Tom Culley, 23.

But, denying reports she had challenged dizzy Jade to a fight, Kate added: "I know Jade and I are not the best of friends and we had our issues. But it does not mean that we will go into a ring, have a fight and knock each other out."

I'm pretty sure Spencer wont be going on that holiday with lots of women he doesnt know(apart from kate)I always had the impression that Kate was quite smitten with Spanky but he never really felt that she was anything more than a friend.Afterall,he wanted Jade to win

But then I hear that he gave her his number and said "I really want to stay in touch with you" and that he warned her that the stories of him and various women were not true.Also,they have arranged to meet next week sometime.I think Spanky is an odd one to call and I suppose only time will tell but I sincerely hope he is not going to date Kate solely cos she won the show and because he is being urged on to do it by the media

Actually, this whole Kate and Spencer 'Will they, won't they' saga leaves me, at best, lukewarm bordering on cool. I'm starting to understand how the people who found the Helen and Paul story boring last year feel. I feel the same way about Kate and Spencer. (I'm still interested in H and P though, even after a year)

I didn't even think that Kate and Spencer got on that well in the house, Spencer liking Jade better and Kate liking Jonny better. I suppose a cynic would say they are just trying to increase the value of the stories that they sell. I don't know really.

your forgetting one thing though he did say jade was his fave in the house but he also said he never really got to know kate and wants to know her more the only time kate and spencer ever got alone was on the poor side and they were starting to get to know each otehr really well staying up to 6 in morning talking nearly every night.

kate even said herself when he had gone she never really got to know him properly.

he said she is top of his list of people he wants to see again from big bb and they are meeting next friday as for the spain thing he may not go not because of the not knowing anyone, i mean he lived in a house with 11 people he did not know for a few weeks why would he care if he did not know any of the people going on holiday with he would know kate.

but i dont think he will go because there is bound to be a major press interest at the moment if they go on holiday together and neither of them want that, thats why i think they are playing it cool

but he did admit to her that he fancied her and they are supposed to have spent most of both aftershow partys 2gether the one they guy from blue was at and the one the dreamboys were at

I think both Kate and Spencer have an ironic, tongue-in-cheek sense of humour so anything they say about a "relationship" has to taken just as that.

Spencer is quite enigmatic himself, and it often seems difficult to tell what he's thinking anyway, let alone trying to make sense of quotes that he may or may not have given to the media.

How can you take a comment like that seriously? The national press used to annoy me, now they are starting to worry me!!

As for Spencer and Kate, I think they make a sweet couple, but I'm not going to shed bucketloads of tears if they don't get it together.
