Well I have an iPhone 4 from when I was in Singapore. And now being back in the UK I now need a phone contract. I use Orange and need to use Orange as its the only carrier I will get signal from when I go to my new boarding school.
But a sim only Orange micro-sim for iPhone contract with all the Data/Minutes/Texts I need costs the same amount as a Blackberry contract from Orange with all the same Data/Minutes/Texts but you get a free phone with it which is the Blackberry Bold 9780. So I have no clue what to do because I'm not too fond of Blackberrys but its practically free. So if I'm still paying the same price but getting a free phone it almost seems worth it but I like my iPhone and there is really no need for a new phone at all. (the only benefit to using a blackberry for me is that because my mum has a blackberry and will be living half way across the world I would be able to easily talk to her free through Blackberry Messenger) But one other option would be to just get the Blackberry deal then just sell the brand new Blackberry handset in the box on Ebay and get the money back then just put the sim in my iPhone. But would that work? Like would a blackberry contracted sim still work in an unlocked iPhone? Sorry if this seems very trivial but I don't know what to do as it almost seems like a waste of money getting a deal which seems pretty unreasonable if you can get the exact same deal with a £300 phone included free? It would be great if someone knew anything about this kind of stuff could possibly help a little. ![]()
