Default Confirmed: BB12 to air in HD + house to be 'biggest in show's history' [merged]

BIG Brother will be the most hi-tech reality show in telly history when it returns to our screens next month.
The hit show will thrill viewers even more when it airs in high definition for the first time as it re-launches on Channel 5.

And with just weeks to go, your Daily Star Sunday became the only paper to break into the new Big Brother compound where producers are working around the clock to get the show back on air.

We slipped past security to get an inside peek at Britain’s most talked-about house.

Show chiefs have splashed out on 42 new cameras, 60 new monitors and a massive 65 mirrors, meaning you won’t miss a second of the action this summer.

We can also reveal they have set up 14 edit suites where production staff will work 24 hours a day to produce the daily highlights show. A show source revealed: “The team have gone all-out to make sure the show is going to work like clockwork and capture every moment so viewers won’t miss a thing.

“Everything is in place for a great series and the technology being used is amazing.

“Airing the show in HD has meant replacing a lot of equipment but no expense was spared to make sure it was all top notch.

“With all the new cameras and hi-tech edit suites, there’s no doubt Big Brother is now the most advanced show on TV.”

Producers have also installed a sound-proof fence so housemates won’t hear anything from the outside world.

Our source added: “So many times in the past housemates have heard chants from the crowd about who viewers want out, which ruins it.

“But this year they will have no idea what’s going on.”

We can also reveal this year’s house will be the biggest in the show’s history.

Teams of production staff have been working on the building since April and in two weeks the interiors will be complete.

A show insider revealed: “The house was completely gutted and it’s being given a new look. Fans will be really impressed.”

An on-site production village has also been set-up at Elstree Studios in Hertfordshire for 150 staff working backstage on the series.

Our insider added: “It’s an area especially for Big Brother staff because they will be working on the show constantly to make sure fans are kept updated on all the dramas.”

Big Brother kicks off next month with a celebrity version followed by a new run of the public series.

Hopefully open space and not just hiding places. Josie would have a field day.

I'm so excited!
I hope they get to the advertising now though, if they've really spent so much on making the house good and putting in so much expensive equiptment then it would be a shame for it all to be wasted because no one knows it's back on tv.

Sounds really good. Hopefully if they are "investing in the upgrade to HD" then itll show that they are committed. After all, plenty of shows are still made in blur-o-vision.

All we need now is good housemates...

If they've only shelled it, it won't be much bigger, the tank is tiny and they don't use all of it.

That's what I was thinking. How the hell do you sound proof a fence?

You can't really sound proof a fence, as long as the compound is open air, sound will get in and out.

You can buy specialist accoustic fencing proper expensive but works amazing its never going to be 100% but at least they will be able to talk at night in the garden without having to whisper.
