Default PoV Suggestions

1. PoV winner has the power to remove both nominees if they wish

2. HoH 'hands in' who their chosen replacements would be if PoV used, ~2 hours after the competition

I strongly beleive the first suggestion should be made as the PoV is about taking some of that power from the HoH and allowing to remove both their nominees can muck up plans of backdooring which gets pretty predictable.

The second came to mind this week when Brendon told Daniele hes not using PoV on him when actually he planned to. I think it would be good cause it would bring in another aspect of trust and more strategies can be made.

Thoughts?

That's sort of what the Coup d'État is. The Coup d'Etat holder replaces both nominees to overthrow the HoH. This has only been featured twice - BB7 (wasn't used) and BB11 (Jeff used it). I think this could be incorporated back into the game.

No.1 would just pretty much erradicate the whole HoH concept. Yeah they would have a back up plan and they would still get to pick another two people to go up, but when it comes to final 4 I don't know what would happen.

I only like the POV taking away 1 nominee, but i believe the co'opdetat/diamond power of veto should be accessible like every 4 weeks.

Oh right thanks
Ive heard the Coup d'Etat (wtf) be mentioned before and that it was possibly a fix to keep Jeff in the game or something.

And youre right Marc it would probably give PoV holder too much power, although maybe something like a Vice HoH series twist would be funkay

Whatever they do with the HoH or Veto competition I think should be consistent from one week to the next so as not to seem to favour particular HMs.

I think everyone should compete in the PoV so backdooring isn't so easy/predictable. That's the only change that should be made.

They did it during BB3/BB4. At first PoV was played by everyone and you couldn't save yourself (someone had to save you), then they changed it so you could save yourself. Then they changed it so that only 6 people play (by choice, not by random draw), and then they finally changed it to random draw and that's how it's been ever since.

I know; the BB4 way was best. Now there is a much higher chance of the veto being used and somehow they think that makes it more exciting. It does not.

Should the HoH be allowed to compete in the PoV? They have the power as to who is the replacement anyway.

It definitely wasn't a fix to keep Jeff in the game, he was obviously the most popular houseguest of his season and America voted for him to have it.

If anything he put a massive target on his back by changing Chima's nominations, because he then had Lydia, Natalie, Chima and Kevin all on his case. This obviously changed when Chima was expelled and they figured they didn't have the numbers.

It was a fix to keep Jeff. Up until that point, the "evil" side of the House (Jessie, Natalie, Lydia, Kevin, Chima, the likes) had control and three people from the "good" side (Braden, Laura, and Casey) were evicted. So how does Grodner change the dynamics? By giving America's favorite a huge power! He didn't even have to work for it. The Coup d'Etat wasn't preplanned, Grodner just threw it in last minute to save Big Jeff

Yea, it was definitely a fix. That was the first and only time anyone ever got a special power without having to work for it. Grodner saw that America's favorite player was getting voted off. So she decided to have an online vote for who was going to get it. She knew Jeff was going to win it from the start. Since he was leading all BB fan polls by miles.

When Mike Boogie won the Coup d'Etat in BB7. All the house guest participated in a competition.

Remember people its all about ratings.

The removement of two is too much. I like the Second suggestion.

Back to how they do the PoV again. Shouldn't all HGs be allowed to take part?

Some of it is too staged, like getting Adam to look at the photos before the veto ceremony. It was obvious he was was taking himself off and he doesn't decide who replaces him so I didn't see the point in that.

Also if a veto winner (if I get this right) can just keep both the nominations the same surely they should also be able to say that both can be changed too. Otherwise it isn't really an equal choice.

This particular competition seemed a bit too random as well. Unless they got it in the hole it was random as to how much they scored. At least Adam got it in the hole though so he deserved more to be at the end than most. However Jeff couldn't really throw it at the end as he wouldn't know which slot it would finish in (as too random).

Obviously it's staged, the whole part of looking at the Memory Wall is for continuity purposes. It's always like that.

And no, that's stupid to have the PoV holder remove both nominees. That gives them too much power and makes the HoH not the true Head of the Household.

Who cares if the Competition's too random, that's why they need to try to get it in the cornhole or time it right with the spinning wheel. BB reuses the same format for Competitions and twists them around. This was the exact same premise as the BB11 HoH after Chima's expulsion, just with cornhole instead of golf.

The HoH still gets to choose who are the substitute nominees though, so they have plenty of power anyway.

Maybe they could change the continuity now and again for variety, is it the same every series?

It's hardly any power when you have to go to your third and fourth targets and have three enemies coming after you next round

Does the previous winner of veto always get to automatically take part in the next veto competition?

Because that is what they said to Daniele, that because she had won the previous veto should would be able to take part in this latest one.
