Arsenal are targetting Andre Pierre Gignac, and Edin Dzecko after learning Chamakh will mostly likely not leave until the summer, where Arsenal can sign him on free transfer.
Gignac is the priority target after scoring 24 goals last season, the 24 year old 6 foot 1 striker has impressed.
Edin Dzecko would be top target but he comes with a large price tag of 20 - 30m and Teams like Ac milan are interested in signing the wolfsburg striker to.

Aaron Ramsey targets a regular first team spot, and is likely to get it whilst song (africa cup nations) is out and Fabregas, Walcott and Denilson have all been hit by injury.

Arsenal hero Robert Pires wants to Join Freddie Ljunberg (sp) in the MLS.

Klass Jann Huntelaar is also one of Arsenals top targets.

Premier league starting XI of the Noughties.

GOALKEEPER: Peter Cech (Chelsea)
He is head and shoulders above any other keeper in recent times. His form may have suffered of late, but he is still ahead of the likes of Edwin Van Der Sar, David Seaman and Pepe Reina. Cech was almost unbeatable when Chelsea won back-to-back titles in the mid-naughties.

LEFTBACK: Ashley Cole (Arsenal, Chelsea)
Love him or hate him, there’s no denying that Cole has been the most consistent leftback for the last 10 years. Only Patrice Evra comes close.

CENTREBACK: John Terry (Chelsea)

It’s only a matter of time before Terry gets his hands on the one trophy that has eluded him – the Champions League. Mr Chelsea has won every other honour in the game. It takes a big man to be captain of the Blues, with so many big egos in the dressing room.

CENTREBACK: Rio Ferdinand (Manchester United)
Ferdinand and Terry would be Capello’s first choice centreback pairing for the World Cup every time. Though prone to occasional lapses, Rio gets the nod over other strong candidates like Jamie Carragher and Nemandja Vidic simply because of his consistency, tactical awareness and passing ability.

RIGHTBACK: Gary Neville (Manchester United)
The last two seasons have not been kind to him. Injuries have forced him to miss large chunks of the season but he gets the nod because he has been the most consistent rightback in the EPL for the last 10 years.

CENTRE-MIDFIEL Steven Gerrard (Liverpool)
The best midfielder of the last decade and the perfect candidate for the engine room. The Scouser will face competition from Roy Keane and Patrick Viera and but he trumps them both because he scores more goals. All three are inspirational skippers.

LEFT-MIDFIEL Ryan Giggs (Manchester United)
What England would give for a left-sided midfielder of Giggs’ ability. It’s incredible to think that the Welshman has lasted so long. Giggs just seems to get better and better with age.

RIGHT-MIDFIEL David Beck–ham (Manchester United)
Ok, he left the EPL midway though the Naughties, but for the early part of the decade, Becks was the best passer of the ball in the world. A large number of United’s goals in this period was a result of Beckham’s pin-point crosses. Oh, and he could hit a mean freekick too!

STRIKER: Didier Drogba (Chelsea)
Controversy has dogged Drogba thoughout his career. But Chelsea fans love him because he gives everything once he pulls on the blue shirt. His record at Stamford Bridge is second to none, and Drogba is the ideal target man.

STRIKER: Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United)
Ever since he first set foot in England, United fans knew they were seeing someone special. He was always going to go to his first love – Real Madrid – but the five seasons he played in the EPL were brilliant and unforgettable.

STRIKER: Thierry Henry (Arsenal)
It would have been great to be able to include Fernando Torres here. After all, he is the best striker in the world at the moment. But for sheer consistency and brilliance, you can’t leave out Henry. Blinding speed, breathtaking skill, incredible awareness of players around him, clinical finishing – he had them all.

MANAGER: Jose Mourinho (Chelsea)
The 4-4-3 formation here used to be Jose Mourinho’s favoured tactical formation at Chelsea. Why Jose? And not Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger? While Ferguson and Wenger had considerable time to build their teams, Mourinho did not have that luxury and still won two back-to-back titles with Chelsea. That says a lot about the man.

Inter are ready to cash in on Maicon and use the €39 million profit his sale would generate to spend on Arsenal sensation Cesc Fabregas.

According to Tuttosport, the Nerazzurri right-back is wanted by Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini and the report claims City are ready to meet the €45 million asking price for the Brazilian - who arrived at the San Siro from Monaco four seasons for €6 m - meaning Inter would have a substantial cash injection that will go straight into funding a move for Fabregas.

It's no secret that Inter president Massimo Moratti is keen on bringing in a top quality midfielder. It is said Fabregas would allow the Nerazzurri the chance to make the huge step up in quality and deliver the Champions League - a trophy Moratti has been craving for for decades.

However, Arsenal want more than just a mega cash offer. The Gunners have been long-time admirers of Mario Balotelli.

A cash deal plus Balotelli is what they are looking for in order to allow the Spanish star freedom to join Inter. But, Moratti has always stressed that the Italian is not for sale under any circumstances.

Barcelona have also been on the trail of Fabregas, who on numerous occasions has pledged his loyalty to the Gunners.

If hes worth 45m
Fabregas is worth 70 - 75m
Fact.

As for the truth, he would never leave, Fabregas go to italy?
The only people he would go to is barca where he was born and where he would like to play again, serie a is a dying league..he wouldnt go there.

so much rubbish, Arsenal would rather buy another striker, as baloetti is over priced and too hot headed.

Cardiff vs Arsenal
Fa cup.

Its 2 - 2 with 3 minutes to go.
Aaron Ramsey is coming on.

Sagna throws it in, it dropps to fabregas,

He see's Ramsey making a run through the defenders, picks out a 48 yard pitch perfect kick, Ramsey runs on to it and FIRES it through Marshalls fingers, he just couldnt get enough on the ball.

Thats it Arsenal win 3 - 2 thanks to Aaron Ramsey and are heading to the final.

Don't know why, he was wat 16 and you got 5m for him.

And he has masssssssive potential and talent already, he wasn't going to stay at a championship club, although could be premiership next year.

I think hes getting a good confidence boost playing with fabregas, starting to play a bit like him.

He should be cheered, he will be one of the best footballers from wales since giggs and keane.

He will be better.

If and when fabregas leaves, i dont think wenger will buy anyone new, i think Ramsey by the time will be old enough and experienced to take his place.

Currently our best youngster i think.
