It's an amazing series?

Only miserable little Channel 4 arse lickers who can't accept change have switched off.

I was waiting for you to turn up with your usual charming insight.

No, I don't even watch ch4. Laughable you actually believe people have some allegiance to a bloody TV channel! Nor do I care about change. Indeed, Ive said it needed more change to gain a new audience.

So yeah, just accept that some think its crap. You are probably its target audience.

I'm still watching but I'm not as interested as I normally would be, Jedward are ruining it imo, I hated the first couple of episodes because of the editing, name tags etc but I hardly even notice all that now.

Yeah, I've stopped watching, the main reason being Jedward.

I stopped watching about a week ago now.

I just don't like what Channel 5 have done with the show. It just doesn't feel like Big Brother. It it wasn't for TIBB being in my bookmarks I wouldn't even know Big Brother still exists. My interest is lost.

When the main show comes up I'll give it another go but as far as CBB goes, I couldn't care less with what happens on the show.

I used to be/am still addicted to the old big brother. I have the whole back catalogue and love it so much. This year I have no addiction/emotional connection to the show what so ever. It's so bad I don't even care about missing an episode and I don't have the will power to get through 2 episodes in a day where as I could spend a whole day watching the old BB and just need to see the next episode. It's truly saddening that I no longer care about BB on channel 5 but it's lost everything that I watched the show for. I missed an episode yesterday and I couldn't give a **** to be honest but I got angry when I was missing an episode from my downloaded cbb6. It's not even about channel 4 but it's how it's lost every single layer of truth or any intellectual dimension and everything that got me in love with it in the first place.

However I am watching out of habit and for something to talk about on here, if I weren't on tibb I would have given up on the second episode. I will probably continue to watch until Sunday which is when I start school and I'm just not going to have the time/the will to watch. If the series i just highlighghts I'd much rather watch my back catalogue of bbon my hard drive anyway as they are so much better. I may give it another chance next summer hoping they change something drastically. The fact anyone likes the show baffles me a little though because everything I loved about BB (which is what I thought everyone loved about BB) is no longer. It's definitely not something I would follow religiously anymore, just another poorly produced crappy entertainment and "reality" show.

Tibb is only a BB forum for 3 months a year.

I don't actually care about the changes myself, most of them are so miniscule and ultimately pointless that I struggle to understand why anyone would be upset by them. It's Jedward that's the problem, everything they do is rehearsed and it's all about playing up to this character they've created. It would be a much better series without them.

That's the biggest load of BS I've read on here in ages, and that's saying something.

If you want to live in the past watching old and long forgotten series of BB then that's your choice, but as far as I'm concerned C5 have made a really good effort into preserving the Big Brother that we have come to know and love.

So what is do different about this series to any other CBB that you have seen previously on C4? It's the same house, the same theme music, the same Diary Room even the same voice over guy Marcus Bentley. The only thing that's different is the housemates, and when did C4 have such a great track record of picking good ones? Every single year they would dig out a load of has beens or wannabees, and every single year they would get criticized over it.

Ok it might not be a 'classic' series but those only come along on very rare occasions. This is C5's first effort, and considering the very short space of time they had to prepare for it, I can find very little to criticize about them.

Even 'Bit On The Side' is way better than 'Big Mouth' used to be with gutter mouth McCall saying the 'f' word at every available opportunity just because she thought it was funny when in fact it came across as exactly the opposite.

Stop living in the past and give this series a chance ffs, if it wasn't for C5 there would be no BB anyway. Even the 'Eviction Shows' are 'live' instead of being recorded like C4 used to do, simply because they were running scared that someone would come out with an unacceptable comment. C5 do not have such hang ups and that can only be for the good of the show.

I rest my case!!!

I go through phases of liking/disliking jedward, but even in one of my liking stages...I would 100% agree with this. For me, they are ruining the show, and basically turning it into something that wouldnt be amiss on CBeebies. I know its not entirely their fault, as I said earlier its the editing/tasks being centered around them too, which they cant help. I knew this would happen as soon as I knew they were going in though.

It really should of had a year or two break before coming back

I don't see how normal BB is going to be any sort of success now, right after this one? People will be bored of it surely? and having the bit on the side show every night doesn't help..BB overload

i think the changes to the show are positive, its just lacking the va va voom, i cant pin point but somthings missing, probally the LF tbh. AlSo the seriousness of the show has been lost somwere hopefully when the normal series returns the show will start getting abit more serious hope there a big cash prize to play for..

Because I watched it for awhile, realized I didn't like it, and then stopped watching it. I explained why I stopped watching it. It's not as if I gave a blow by blow analysis of what Amy Childs did on the show I didn't watch last night.

Is this really giving you difficulty? Your initial point is stupid. I don't talk about Big Brother anymore because I don't watch it. This consumer stance doesn't somehow get contradicted by explaining why I don't watch it anymore. This forum has about a dozen other subforums for various interests that I enjoy posting in.

Just read that over as many times as you feel you need to until you get it.

Jedward's antics are ultimately causing tension and entertainment within the house... yepp it can be very silly sometimes but people always complain they want controversial HMs. Its only because Jedward are known beforehand and are generally been branded very irritating... if it was a normal series of BB and they were originally unknown most of you would be lapping them up for 'entertainment value'.

My opinion on it.

Your case may have been rest but it changes nothing. This was all my opinion so cant be 'BS' as it was from my point of view. I know all that stuff is the same and I really wanted to love this BB but it has lost something. A vibe and atmosphere of the show has been lost somewhere. I don't know exactly what caused this but I'm sure others would agree too that something that made the show addictive has gone and now its just plain unintelligent viewing. However it's not the same VoiceOver. It's the same man but he is now just a parody of what he once was. Plus saying give channel 5 is ridiculous as that is exactly what I've done. If I wasn't going to give them a chance I would have turned of halfway through launch night. The fact is that it's not the show I used to love and that's it. It is only similar by name and the name big brother has been abused by 5 anyway.
