Default How can I cancel my membership?

I used to participate in a very nice BB Forum, but, unfortunately, it was cancelled after BB4 because the owner did not have time to keep it!
BB5 and BB6 I did not bothered, but BB7 got me hooked from the first day, so I started looking into Forums and found this one very well maintained! The problem is that there are way too many teenagers here and, before anyone think I am being unfair, I LOVE TEENAGERS, but it is very tiring to try and understand what they have to say! In every 25 posts, you can find 1, maximum 2, worth reading!
Therefore I would like to cancel my membership!
Nothing against the Forum or the administrators! You are doing a good work! But I really feel I am about to get a lobotomy if I keep trying to read certain posts!
Thanks for letting me participate in the discussions!

Oh sorry you feel like that. Yes, some of these pointless posts are very annoying, and text speech is awful. We need a crackdown on that.

I can delete your membership if you want, but I'd also ask you to reconsider (this is a bit like Big Brother persuadiing a housemate to stay ).

Don't forget there is the ignore function for ignoring certain members. Just click where it says 'ignore' under the member name you want to avoid reading.

Thanks, James, I might try that, then. But I think you should really give that member Legend a lesson as he/she keeps telling people to "fook off"!
When I asked about adult discussions, was not watch porn, as I find it disgusting, but to have a place where people can be more opened about their opinions and not worry if some of them are not suitable for children!
In my opinion, Big Brother is not suitable for children anyway!
Thanks for your support. I will keep posting and will try to ignore the nonsense!

Good

It's alright here. It's just like in the BB house. You don't have to like everyone... you can always pretend..

Diversity is what makes a forum interesting. I wouldn't like to be segregated because of my age nor would I like to create a "teenagers only" section. I like that there are people of all ages on here.

Age isn't the problem. Stupid people come in all different ages. Stupid/inarticulate people with nothing worthwhile to contribute. That's the problem.

I'm glad Wellsita is staying. Like I say, we can't get along with everyone. We can make the best of it though, for the sake of the FMs we do like to chat with.

The text speech is off putting, but it seems we have to take the rough with the smooth, as they say.

Heya Wellsita!

Glad you have re-considered. Like James has said, there is always the 'Ignore' option which can come in very handy.

I'm a teenager myself but I decline from using text speech. Like the rules say, it's for use on mobile phones.. keep it there!

Like Stropz has said, the diversity on here is great. It's a forum where, for the mostpart, everyone gets on and age doesn't matter. I don't think it would be a good idea to segregate the younger members from the older members even if it was just in certain sections.

It is possibly 'teenagers' who are the biggest offenders but, believe it or not, there are grown people on here who can be worse. So, I guess I'm saying, don't paint us all with the same brush.

Glad to see you're sticking around.

I'm already in the dungeon Lance (without the Y). I was banished there permanently while BB was off. That would be about the time I was bored and troublemaking.

You are right, Lance, that are some grown ups that can be very annoying! (not you Stropz)
And, as I said before, I love teenagers and they tend to love me! When my godson turned 18, instead of giving me the first slice of his cake, he smashed it on my face! And all his friends love me and call me Dinda, which is the caring way of calling your godmother, in Portuguese - just to explain, I am brazilian!
It's just that, the Forum I was used to going was for over 18s, only! Of course some youngsters lie and go in, but that's not my problem if I say something they will feel offended by! And I do think parents should be more carefull to what their kids are doing on the internet!
But I will get used to it and will start ignoring the unreadable ones!
Thanks everyone!

Especially Stropz. Joking, we love ya really.

It takes time to adjust to a change, but once you get used to this forum there's no leaving us. It's great.

Helloo!

I seem to have taken quite a while to notice this thread, but I'd like to say that I'm glad you've decided to stay!

I agree, as others have previously posted of my dislike for text speech, and so I try to use this as little as possible, plus, it's great to have as many members, and many different points of view to listen to!

My only concearn is that perhaps it might be best to ignore various members, as it has been mentioned above, or U2U various Admins or Mods so as to avoid what could feel like a public trial to the member in question.

All in all though, I value your contributions, and can empathise with your problems, and although there are isolated problems on the forum, I'm sure you'd agree that they're few and far between!

T.

So glad you have decided to stay Wellsita.

We are not such a bad bunch and we as an Admin team do try to cut out a lot of the rubbish but sometimes it slips by us!
