Default I miss Big Brother :/

I'm not just one of those members who join just to slag off the show (older membahhhs will know) but I honestly can't believe theyre passing this show off as Big Brother anymore. It's difficult to believe the show that brought us Nikki, Aisleyne, Nadia, Victor, Jason, Bea etc is now bringing us Heaven and the likes.

I wish they'd just go back to the way it used to be, especially Marcus, cos he doesn't suit the whole midlife crisis narration.

I agree. I've only been watching over the last week or so and as a show in its on right it does seem OK but its not a patch on even the worst Channel 4 years

People act like this is dramatically different from how it was on 4

Practically identical. Except actually entertaining for the first time in 3 years.

Only difference is Marcus is now a dope, we don't have live feed, and the editing (which I got used to after 2 highlights shows).

This has been an excellent series

Not to mention the tasks are abysmal, the housemates all either look the same (females) or are dull as dishwater (males), and under thirty...

Glad you agree Tom, it's not horrific, but it's just not rly enjoyable anymore imo :?

Channel 4's BB had:

1) a different type of housemate and a good spread of ages, different ethnicities etc this lot are pretty shallow and one dimensional with the token geek thrown in

2) better editing and more coverage for different 'storylines', this one is just focused on whos shagging who with music in the background. I can stick a montage in a task or nominations but its too excessive and takes away the natural flow

3) a better presenter and a voiceover that fitted the show

4) live feed

so yeah, its a completely different show

I do enjoy it but more in the way of how I enjoy shows like Coach Trip, good for whilst its on but only really watch it if I'm not doing something else. I can't get that invested in it anymore, we've seen it all before. Theres still a level of enjoyment there but its nowhere near as good as it used to be and I think the problem lies a lot deeper than the series itself. its just been on for too long and channel 5 shouldn't have brought it back this soon

Hardly. The fundamentals have remained the same.

Exaggerate if you like though.

But its still got a very different feel and there is no buzz whatsoever around it. Even in its last years on Channel 4 when press coverage came to a stand still there was still a tiny amount of buzz around the show, some people would still talk about it in passing but now... nothing

The fundamentals are the same but the entire production, ethos and direction of the show around the fundamentals have completely changed

THANK YOU, I can't believe how many are whining, bar Marcus selling out, the editing changing slightly, it's not off putting and no feed, it's better than anything C4 produced in the last couple of years.

Yep!

The Edits are done so the story lines are more easily digested imo.

It's been an amazing series. I've loved every episode. I have laughed so loud and been pissed off so badly as some of the housemates. I love the fact BB is letting them get on with it and filling them with booze.

Er, Heaven was evicted weeks ago and was one of the best parts about this series. Not to mention, "freaks" like Heaven have always been on the show. Angel? Mary? Shahbaz? Kemal? Dave? HELLO. None of the housemates on now are any worse than housemates who have been on since the very beginning. Everything you've just said is invalid.

This is not my favorite series, but i'd definitely say it's been good and is significantly better than last series.

It's trash now. In the past it wasn't always trash, maybe the start of BB7 and most of BB8 it was but most series have had some intelligent HMs and so people who more of the audience can relate to. Inevitably by dumbing it down the audience will divide and there will be fewer watching.

Have to agree with this, it has now become another reality TV show with a cast of would be models/actors/rappers(joke). I still enjoy it but not as much as I did the old series' with Live Feed - you could get to know people when their guard was down and see comments made in context so form your own opinion on house mates rather than what the producers want you to believe.

It's been amazing. The editing we'd still have on C4 and I'm used to it, Marcus can be funny and the only real problem is the lack of LF and the obvious manipulating which Im not fussed about much cos it's still entertaining.

Plus, in my opinion the tasks have been different and great fun. They seem to be caring about the series tbh.

Let's blame the Producers, after all, they are the ones who choose HMs.

might just be an "i've seen it all before, i'm bored now" situation for me but I just don't feel compelled to watch it any more. there's nothing exciting or interesting about it for me any more.

I think that might be the same here, but then I think this time last year I was still buzzing for BB11 (or whenever it was).

Everyone saying its the same bar the editing, it really isnt. Brian's ****, the tasks are ****, it's like an episode of Geordie Shore. There's no interesting characters, every episode is either revolving around who shagged who/fancies who or who shat in the freezer/fridge or whatever.

iRyan, it says it all then when the only housemate worth remembering was evicted weeks ago :/

It's weird cause I actually really enjoyed the Celebrity version, but the housemates carried that. The tasks/editing/presenter/narrator/everything was awful about that too.
