Default Has Vote to Save proved to be a disaster?

I think it has - and I was someone who actually argued for Vote to Save, in the past.

But it means people end up voting for HMs they actually don't like at all, just so that someone they hate even more gets evicted!

It was right to try it out, but I wish we could have Vote to Evict back.

It was never going to work in a 2 or 3 way eviction anyway, tonight is its first proper test

If Anton goes tonight, I agree.

People shouldn't be voting for housemates they don't even like to simply make it less likely another housemate will stay it'd work perfectly if people would actually stick to voting for their favourites, as that's what vote to save is designed for.

VTS isn't a perfect system (no system is perfect) but it's far better and fairer than theold voting system where everyone who disliked a certain HM could vote them out in block voting, totally unfair.

Only those who had their favourite HM's evicted are moaning about VTS.

If Anton goes tonight it's because he doesn't have enough fans to keep him in.

Totally untrue. I don't give a toss about any of those evicted so far. It is more the principle of the thing.

The additional problem is the decision on who is evicted is taken by a handful of voters.

Say Aaron, Jay and Fay get 90-95% of votes. It means that either Anton or Aden will go.... but only a tiny percentage of voters will have decided which of them is booted. Doesn't seem quite right to me.

It wasn't fair with the old system.

I suppose it works if there's more than 2 people up, but it really doesn't make any difference if there's two you just vote for the other person..

Only because a pretty large percentage of Aden's votes will have come from people who want Anton out.

90% of Aden's votes are from people that have got money on Anton going.

The think is, if it was vote to evict Tashie would have stayed and either Week 1 anti-social Aaron or Fox Hunter Harry would have gone.

However, vote to save doesn't favour women as many voters seem to be tweenies and they just don't have the fervour to save another female in the same way they would a male eg Aaron or Jay.

But I don't think there's much value to voting out Anton in terms of betting. I'd put money on Faye going, better odds, females haven't survived against males, time for a shock exit etc

I am glad it was tried, as it proved a point that voting to save or evict makes little difference really. Only when maybe it depends if there are more than two to three up.

And thats bad because...? we're voting for who we want there, if people don't want Anton there then they're rightfully allowed to vote to save the others to make sure he goes

they need to always have a minimum of three up for eviction for it too work, otherwise there doesn't really seem to be difference between the two

Thus ruining vote to save.

The whole point of it is to give the bigger characters a better chance to stay, yet people still find a way around that to keep the dull housemates in

I have to say for an Aaron fan you have a weird liking for Anton.

Anton will ruin Aaron if he stays in that house, so if he goes tonight im more than happy.

Theres enough to keep the show entertaining without Anton.

Happens every year though, BB always fails somehow, last year's quadruple eviction was a disgrace, Andrew, JJ, John James and Mario should have been the four that went then.

I like Anton a lot, I think he's brilliant in a completely different way than Aaron is; I can appreciate both.

And the Aaron Anton rivalry is making for great tele.

Anton won't ruin Aaron, the exact opposite has happened in fact.

You can't blame Big Brother for the voters not thinking about the future of the show when they want a big character out. Changing to vote to save is as much as Big Brother can do.

That's why vote to save would have failed, because it wouldn't have saved a big character just like vote to evict wouldn't have.

Well that is true but its not all Big Brother can do, they could have kept the immunity challenges and then the bigger characters would have chances to avoid being up

Its no different it was just something people used to bleat on about as an excuse to moan about the housemates they liked being evicted.

I was in favour of VTS because it meant bigger characters would be saved by their fans (think Nicky first time round...no way would she have gone against ALL the others!). However, if just two people are up, then votes can pile up against the most disliked person, keeping the boring one in. So its not perfect.......

I would have thought VTS gives Anton MORE chance tonight against 4 others......how can you vote against Anton when you have to save all 4??? Oh b@@@@@ it, VOTE ADEN anyway guys !!!
