My parents have just installed BT Yahoo Broadband yesterday and I dont know how to work it very well because Ive been using dial-up for 3 years!
Basically, the problem is is that I dont know how to create a seperate account from my Dad, my Mum doesnt know how to do it for herself either and Im stuck having to surf on my Dad's account. Does anyone know how to create new accounts on this system as it is really driving me up the wall ![]() |

Do you mean email accounts? Have you gone to your account page? |

Well yeah thats the confusion I was getting, when I looked around the BT Yahoo! main page and looked under help, all the 'FAQ' questions were about e-mail accounts - however like Windows XP has user areas so does this version on Broadband and Im only able to access the internet via my Dads account which isnt a problem but I just wanted to create my own area and I couldnt find any sources of info to help me with this, so I asked here

If I remember correctly, when you are at the page that asks you to sign in or choose the account name (i think it has whatever the registered main account is and a default option that is always there called "other user") there is a link on that page called "manage accounts". Click on that and you will need to sign in under the main account name. You can then create a sub-account in your name.
I haven't done this myself, but I have Yahoo Broadband on my home PC and I think this is how you do it. Lemme know if it works! |

No worries mate. Again, I'm working on memory here, but some BT accounts may not allow you to have additional sub-accounts. I think it depends on what subscription service you're on.
Good luck anyway mate, and if I get time tonight, I'll check my PC to see if I can find any other way that might help. ![]() |

Problem solved - Creating e-mail accounts and internet user accounts are the same things, I managed to work that out this morning
