Am not a fan of Louis Walsh as a rule, but I absolutely applaud him for his spot on comments for Frankie tonight, and well done for standing up to Gary and Kelly. The audience can boo if they want to, not nice to hear fair enough, but justified. Frankie's attitude is all wrong, he should be grateful, tons would want to be in his shoes. I don't really get what Gary sees in him anyway, he didn't even sing his song tonight, he talked it, anyone agree?

Ranting on about singing in tune after wanting Goldie to be one of his live show acts...until she pulled out. After his defences of jedward a few years back...after the Wagner thing...etc etc.

To be fair everyone knows Louis just puts through novelty act for the variation or it'd be boring..but with Frankie he's meant to be a serious contestant

exactly, frankie and gary both think he has a chance at winning, everyone, louis, jedward and the public knew that they were a bit of fun

I take your point Vicky and yes, there is an element of hypocrisy to what Louis said. Valid point. I just do think though that he was right about Frankie and I agreed wholeheartedly with him, though maybe his motives weren't what they should have been. The show is becoming a farce.

Been a farce for years really. Its just more obvious this year

Theres noone I really like this year, and I cant get into it properly. The level of talent overall is dire. The only one I like is Craig. Kitty can sing, but comes across as a stuck up cow. Misha is a good singer too but I just cant take to her for some reason :S

Yep, I have found it hard to warm to any of them much so far, though after tonight I have taken to Marcus more. Seems like out of the thousands that applied they have hardly ended up with the cream of the crop. Misha was much better tonight but I don't like her as a person.

Well,in the year Louis had the boys category he sailed Shayne Ward through, with really good songs and exceptional performances too with really good planning,he did the same with JLS in their year too.
The overs is a hard category to deal with.

Frankie is truly awful though, that must have been the worst version I have ever heard of that song, even John Barrowman sang it better on his show a few months back.I haven't liked a single performance from Frankie at all. For someone as young as he is he looks awkward trying any dance moves either.

I won't go into Jedward as Louis has done great things for them too.My point is Louis knows more than most think, he formed and took on Westlife and love or hate them, 11 number ones from their first 13 singles speaks volumes,not to mention number one albums too,then again there was also Boyzone too.

On stage in 'live' performances,near all acts add glitzy props and dancers to their shows now.Louis does that on X Factor with his acts,Simon did it too with Same Difference.

Louis was 100% right as to Frankie and Gary Barlow was disgraceful telling him to shut up.
Gary has shown me why Robbie Williams got to the point where he couldn't stand him or want to work with him so left Take That. Gary's attitude is really awful,he is too full of himself and how he can commend Frankie at all is beyond me.

Perhaps Louis was a little harsh to Frankie last night but to be honest i thought what he said is what most of us are thinking. Frankie should not even have got through to the finals he simply cannot sing. I suppose the reason he is still in there is because some young people find him " fit " etc, which is not a good enough reason to vote for him. I am beginning to think Gary Barlow has hearing problems to if he still thinks he is good enough to be there.

Just watched it on YouTube - fully agree with his comments about Frankie, he is absolutely NOT the persona that they are building him up to be - you can see it in his body language, he's a bumbling, soft person.
