Even though I have no clue what that "Freddie Starr ate my hamster" headline was about, it sounds like a right corker. I will join his fan club.

He can be very funny, Mollie, just hope he lives up to it. The others all seem to really like him. I am going to make a bold prediction at this very early stage that he will be in the final. Wonder what the odds are with the bookies?

The other thing he gets talked about a lot for is when he did "An audience with.." and flung a handful of maggots into the first 3 rows....Faith Brown climbed up on her seat! (close-ups afterwards revealed a central compartment of cooked brown rice inside the tank of live maggots - classic ruse though!)

I really like Freddy but am seriously worried that he is still smoking after a quadruple by-pass heart op. not that long ago (according to what I've read). I REALLY hope he manages to stop so that he can stay with us longer...PLEASE STOP SMOKING FREDDY!!
