They used to have it every year and it used to be my favourite theme. For me, he best ever X-Factor performance came from big band week in series 3 - when Leona sang Summertime. This was the performance that put her as the front runner in many people's eyes.

Alexandra had a good big band week in her series too. She sang Candyman and although it didn't have the same impact as Leona's performance, it certainly made me pay a little more attention to her. She was slipping under the radar at the time.

Anyone think it should be reinstated? (especially given some of this year's themes - 'Love and Heartbreak' and 'Britain vs America )
