I finally finished this Game a couple of days ago.

A great Game like most Yakuza Games tbh, the story for Makoto's side of the story gets a bit too messy for my tastes by the end, but for the most part the story was intriguing.

There is a lot to do in the Game as well, basically if you want to take a break from the main Story you can do Substories, Karaoke, Scalextric (what memories) and Catfighting (attractive women wrestling each other not animal abuse) plus loads more.

Overall I score this Game a 9/10, for my personal taste I enjoyed Berserk: Band Of The Hawk more out of what I've played recently, but Yakuza 0 is a great Game like Tales Of Arise & Little Nightmares II imo.

Well done Nicky.

I'm playing Resident Evil Village at the moment, and I've got to say that I'm not liking it very much so far.

I normally love my Resi Games, but something about this one just feels distinctly missing.

I loved it and did multiple play throughs . It’s definitely a much more action-oriented game though, especially on repeat playthroughs with infinite ammo etc.

But yeah I played it to death - I did a 2.5 hour knife only/no crafting/no healing playthrough (to get various trophies all in one run) which was quite fun, I don’t often do speedruns.

In fairness I get why you or anyone else that likes the Game would like the Game, I think for me personally I really hate the actual open world Village segments, and I personally feel like at the moment there's not many elements of the Game in gameplay or story that screams that it's a Resident Evil Game imo.

Although I've gotta give the House Beneviento section a lot of credit, that was a really good level.

The Game definitely has it's moments, and I give it credit for experimenting with the Resi 7 formula, but overall I think the experimentation is where this Game has developed issues for me.

In particular the "mapping" on this Game is atrocious, fair enough if the developers didn't want to put markers on the map to point you to your destination, but making certain areas of the Game where everything looks alike so you're spending hours just trying to find your next objective is seriously frustrating imo.

For me it's a massive step up on Home Sweet Home 2 out of my recent Horror experiences, but compared to the other Resi Games, Village is my worst.

To be fair I can't remember if this was the case on my first playthrough, I know the map like the back of my hand now . A big criticism would be that on repeat plays there are sections that are hilariously easy, e.g. the lake/swamp (there are basically no enemies so you can just go from objective to objective once you know where they are - and the boss fight there is ridiculously easy) and also things like the Wolf stronghold, which seem hard, but you can actually just ... run past everything and out the other end in each section , in about 20 seconds flat - nothing follows you out so it doesn't matter how many are chasing you.

Tbf I imagine replays are easier with the Game once you know the outline of where everything is.

And out of interest how come there's only 12 posts in this thread? I thought we had over 50 pages of posts or something.

Before going on topic, if there are any Ukranians using this Forum, I sincerely hope that you can underdog this and crush Putin, not only is he a war criminal, but he has made his country a disgrace in it's current position that it's in.

I am honestly really angry about this topic, I'm really trying to be careful what I say though as I honestly don't hate Russia or the regular people, but I seriously hope that some karma comes Putin's way and that he somehow gets forced to resign, but I sadly don't see that happening.

Anyway back on topic to more fun stuff.

I tried playing the first Dark Souls a few days ago, and I still can't get the hang of that particular type of Game. I think I've just reached my limit of what I can and can't do in Video Gaming when it comes to that thing.

It's a well made Game though.

And then much more in my comfort zone I've been playing Primal, which is an old PS2 Game that let's you play as Jen (who's Human) and sexy to boot, and Scree who looks like a Gargoyle to me, but I might be wrong in saying that.

Basically it's a fun Game imo, it has two good characters imo (four if you count the two characters on Jen's chest) but being serious two good characters, a surprisingly strong story, and a decent combat and puzzles.

The only real negative that I have with the Game is the awful navigation in the Underwater stage of the Game, I never understand it when a Game makes everything in a particular zone look the same.

But overall a really fun Game imo.

I hope that everyone has been doing okay lately.

i finished first time with Life is Strange: True Colors, must say i find it a bit too short, but still wouldn't mind playing it over and over again as i haven't explored everything yet, and i can always go for other choices too, need to play Mine Haunt in that too maybe, thinking of purchasing wavelengths but have to ask parents for permission because i cannot go buying something myself without permission

am at last regular ep of LiS before the storm, and then only the bonus ep farewell

i uninstalled F1 2021 for now, found it becoming annoying how i couldn't maintain speed in safety car mode and keep getting dq'd when that happens, kinda want to know if you could turn off safety car

Have you been reading up on that Quantum TV guy who had a fit about Elden Ring?

I think that he ended up copyright striking a Youtuber who took the piss out of his review.

Anyway I've been playing FFVII recently and you forget just how good that Game is imo, a well paced & well told story, and characters with actual depth to them.

Anyway here is my rankings of the main cast of FFVII at the start of Disk 2.

1. Sephiroth
2. Cloud
3. Vincent
4. Tifa
5. Barret
6. Red
7. Yuffie
8. Aeris
9. Cait Sith
10. Cid

BLACK

A FPS from the later days of the PS2, absolutely love this game, i feel it's criminally underrated.

I've always been interested in that Game personally.

I wonder if it got overshadowed by series like COD at the time?

Yeah i reckon it probably did tbh. COD was really starting to gain popularity around that time. Anyone who likes FPS' should give this game a look though. Some people say it's a bit short, maybe it could have done with one more level, but i think it's great. And the look of it is amazing for a PS2.

I'm currently playing Persona 4 over the last few days.

I've done the first three dungeons so far, the plot might surprisingly be more interesting than Persona 5 (which had a really fun plot itself) the cast is mostly good (I do feel like Yukiko has been dropped since completing her Dungeon though) but I really like Yousuke & Kanji as characters, and Chie is displaying the best personality of the girls so far imo, even if her voice is unique sometimes.

And the gameplay is not as in depth as Persona 5 imo, but it's opening up more and more which is good, and the battle system as usual for the SMT/Persona franchise has the right level of challenge without being like the Souls Games, or being in baby mode on the other spectrum of difficulty.

I've got to say that this Game is fantastic.

Controversially I might actually prefer Persona 4 to Persona 5, it's very close imo, but I really am enjoying the story and just the overall atmosphere of Persona 4.

Both are fantastic Games though, I don't know who the killer is (so please don't spoil it to me) but I'm guessing that the killer is Adachi as his function in the story whilst it can be fun in a goofy way, there isn't really any real reason why he has been added into the Game imo as other characters can easily fit his role, unless he is the killer.

Plus I find it odd that he is the only character that's not really ever put in danger in the Game, or ever really delved into his darker thoughts so far.

I am a little bit suspicious of Yousuke & Chie though as they've never been attacked by the killer either, and Chie was the first character to mention about The Midnight Channel in the Game.

And Yousuke was so adamant that
Spoiler:

we kill the guy that was trying to save the people that he was putting through the TV
it kinda felt like he wanted to cover his own tracks.

Brilliant Game though, it has the right balance between Comedy and darker material.

I found I couldn't really get into Persona 4... I gave it a good try but I think it lacking the visual styling of 5 made it seem a bit dull in comparison.

I've started on Horizon Forbidden West, I'm enjoying it but (so far anyway) I don't think the machine varieties are as interesting as Zero Dawn, and the sense of discovery isn't the same, but that's inevitable I guess since you're not "going in blind" as with the first game.

Yeah Persona 4 is definitely going for a different vibe to Persona 5.

It's one of them Games imo where it builds up more and more, compared to Persona 5 which I think anyone with an ounce of fun to them can enjoy imo.

I've watched my Brother play the first Horizon Game, I remember liking Sylens or whatever his name was.

Halfway through playing The Quarry, I'm a sl*g for horror and decision based games so this is right up my street.

I tried playing NanoTek Warrior today, and I've got to say that it hasn't aged well imo.

I personally just don't really like Games where you're bombarded with tons of enemies, it's why I've never really liked the Souls series either, despite the Berserk aesthetic.

I personally prefer difficulty in other ways to 50 enemies attacking you at once.
