Do they vote for the most entertaining? The nicest? The one who could use the money more? The least controversial (everyone's 2nd choice)?

I can only speak for BBUSA and say that on finale night when it comes down to 2 people the jury usually (not always) awards the person who played the game the best (i.e. won more competitions, had the better social game). In other words, they give it to the person who is more deserving and not necessarily the nicest or who needs it more.

It seems to me because BBUK isn't really a game the most deserving housemate would be the one who entertained the most and was the most interesting. But is that how it usually turns out?

depend who the person voting is.

old people vote for nice young people
middleaged people vote for middleaged people
adults vote for anyone really
late teens usually vote for the young or sexy ones
young teens vote for whichever HM they want in bed

but us forum peeps are in a catagory all our own

we vote for whoever is entertaining ..(usually)

Frankie will get the 'teenage girl' vote
Michael/Twins will get the 'forums vote'
Denise will get the 'Women power/Loose Women vote'
Nicola will get 'CAN celebrity votes

I believe it's been a mix. It's usually the housemate the voting public perceive as being the "nicest". That doesn't mean to say that they haven't also been the most entertaining and most interesting. Occasionally I believe it's been the most reasonable choice person still standing. The voting public obviously always believe the winner is the most deserving housemate or they wouldn't win.

Because discussion of nominations is usually forbidden, to be a game player is usually frowned upon because it implies the person is sneaky and underhand. Of course, they're all game players in reality and always have been.

I think the longer the twins stay in the more votes will go against them. none of the people that voted for kirk or natalie will now start voting for the twins. i think they'll start voting for frankie and denise.

I don't think the Twins or Michael stand a chance of winning. (unfortunately, in my opinion)

Dr. Detroit is right when he said there's no chance of an American winning CBB ever.

But that's the great thing about CBB is that it doesn't mean anything who wins, because they all get paid a set fee before they even enter the house. There is no actual reward for winning CBB, so it really does mean NOTHING.

that being said, i still DO care who wins, i don't know why. lol

Not strictly true, I believe the winner if their management is any good can go on to make money off the back off it...

the brits always try to be trendy but usually come off as reactionary instead of being cool....so we end up with reactionary trend setting bores winning like nadia (because of her sex change alone yawn, what a bore. aaron was boring and miserable but was at least better than nadia I admit, who else? kate lawler? zzzzz chantelle? zzz
so now the brits will vote the twins to try and be trendy. sadly

No they just carry on adding them onto the earlier votes so a vote cast now will still be in the total when they get to the final 2 on friday.

so utterly boring and predictable. same as last year and all the other gimmick winners just voted for 1 cheap laugh and the most boring interview ever.
shame we shallow brits havent the depth the humour or the character to vote a multi faceted complex hilarious legend like michael as winner. oh but I forgot we hate proper legends who have earned their legendary status with awesome movies. wed rather pick people like chantelle who just says oh my God all day every day...because like the twins her winning would be so hilarious? not
