Default The divide in the house

Lisa, Dimodim, Mikey v Richard, Ash and Suzi

The other housemates are not so clearly definable. Whatever your opinions on the above housemates, you will often find you like the first three or the other three. This is because there are certain character traits that the groups have in common.

Lisa, Dimodim and Mikey are what I would call 'common' people. Very superficial and only interested in the materialistic side of things. I challenge someone to come up with one deep thing that any of these three has said. People that like them from the forum and the public are also common and identify with this sort of personality.

Richard and Suzie are older housemates and have more intelligence. People often see the more intelligent ones as 'playing a game', simply because they are not so superficial and depth to character is looked upon suscpiciously by others who are more shallow. Richard, in my opinion, is just more intelligent, he is not actually playing a conscious game, per se. Suzie is just more well spoken and has a certain refinement to her personality, she is not course and common, as the other three.
Ash is an interesting case. Her main difference from the 'plastics' is that she seems to have some moral fibre to her being. WHATEVER your opinion on whether Grace was right to throw water on Suzie or not, Ash stood up for who she believed was right and stuck to her guns. This is a very noble thing to do.

What has Mikey done that is noble in the slightest? What has he contributed, and please no psts about, 'he is well fit'. Dimodim is well fit, but she doesn't need to be in the house, I could gaze at pictures or videos of her. This is not a show about looks, it is about HUMAN BEINGS.

And on that subject, Lisa has shown herself to be a nasty little troll. Her aggression and consistent swearing are just disgusting. And all Dimodim is capable of saying is 'F@ck off and totally babes.' Where is the DEPTH of character, the SOUL?

what noble thing has richard or suzie done?

you can't judge them as shallow characters, big brother only shows the parts where they're either slagging someone off, or snogging.

Edwin, you judged me as shallow from one post I made, and you know less about me, than I know about the housemates.

Of course you can judge people as shallow...that's what the game show is all about. I look at peoples' characters in that house and I see common people. I could sit here justifying it to you all day if you really want, but then again, your opinion of shallowness may be different to mine.

Your interpretation of the division is slightly different to mine. At the end of the day, there always has been some sort of division, but with Sezer and Grace gone things might begin to settle. It looks like that's already happening.

Imogen.

It started as Dimogen, then some people were saying Imodim, now it's become Dimodim, apparently.

I fear she may soon be simply referred to as Dimdimdim

I'd hardly say that Richard & Susie are the more intelligent of the bunch. Just because their game plan is more transparent than the rest doesn't make them bright, only obvious.

Richard's shown himself to be very immature and vindictive, from locking Shabaz in the garden and ordering people to pretend he was invisible, to making up playground names for the HMs, to launching into hystrionics instead of handling Lisa's fit maturely. None of that strikes me as particularly impressive.

Susie affects a posh accent, and uses words like "umbrage" instead of "offence", but again it's hardly proof of her "refinement." I would offer her slutty videos (HIM - Wicked Game), vulgar implants, and incredibly tacky clothing (now she's got her own again) as evidence. Never mind the £4000 golden ticket she had her husband buy her. It all speaks of a woman who used T&A to get closer to money, but not a woman of refinement or breeding.

Ash stood up because of her moral fiber? I'd say she stood up for her own hatred of Grace, and love of confrontation. The water was just a convenient trigger. You know she woudn't have done the same if it had happened to Lisa.

Calling people "common" for liking Lisa, Imogen, or Mikey is just ridiculous. Everyone has a different reason for liking them, and not everyone that likes one likes the others. I like Lisa and Mikey, but not Imogen so much. I think Lisa has a hidden depth that she is afraid to show, and she's probably been through things that have made her like she is. Mikey may not be a great philosopher, but he's a nice bloke and I like his calming effect on the others.
