Default Spooky experiences?

As a follow on from the do you believe in ghosts thread, has anyone felt/heard/seen anything that they thought was a ghost?...
Or did something change your view due to an event that you cant explain?

Heres mine ,
When my daughter was about three, i called her in from the garden and she ignored me ..I called again, and she ran in really annoyed 'stop calling me that!'
'my name is rebecca'! my friend and i were a bit shocked.
I said dont be silly its not, she looked me straight in the eye and said ' I know its not NOW....But it used to be!'
Every hair on the back of my neck stood on end! And my friend went home she was so freaked out.

It's not that I disbelieve, I am open about it. However, every single spooky story I've ever heard sounds like it could have a perfectly reasonable, rational explanation.

I came home from a birthday party SOBER at about 2 a.m. when we lived in our old house (regular council house) and saw a cherub on the landing as I walked through the front door, a little blonde boy with small white wings. Sounds so stupid but it's what I saw! Also after I had the courage to go upstairs to bed there was a couple of white feathers on the landing.

Another time we went messing around in this old derelict cottage and made our way down to the cellar. Once we all got down there 'something' began throwing rocks and old bits of concrete and rubble around the room so we bolted out of there down the street. We could hear a man laughing from the cellar as we were getting out of there too.

Creepyyyyyyyy.

Oh yeah and one time, my old Springer Spaniel died and I was watching WWF RAW live on Sky Sports (about 1am) and heard him scratching the bin, something he used to do, really distinctive noise and I said "Ok Sam!". Didn't click until 10 minutes later what had happened but it was kind of like my dog saying goodbye!

I can hear my labradors paws on the carpet sometimes. Things move themselves around in my house too.

Wow too creepy, actually you just reminded me i was there when my dad passed away there was my mum ans sis there too, the day before the funeral the three of us were in the living room (where he passed away) and the room flooded with a most amazing smell....It was really really strong and i can only describe it as like really expensive perfume, as quick as it came it was gone....
It was like he came to say bye too.

I was lying down on the sofa once and I sat up,but I didn't !!!! I could feel myself sitting up but I was still lying down,I could see myself sitting up.it was a real weird experience i have never forgotten it but that is the only strange thing I can remember really.

I was at my Nans house, and it was just me and her in the House at the time. We were watching TV and this whistling just came out of nowhere and it was really strong. And we were like really freaked out. And then a few days later i was upstairs watching TV, and there was a extremely strong smell of tobacco and perfume.

I once woke up in the middle of the night and saw an outline of a blue torso sink through my bed. I didn't sleep for the rest of the night, despite putting my light on. I was about 7 at the time though.

I can remember being in my Nan's one time at Christmas, and a little miniature Xmas Tree model threw itself across the room.

It hit her dog

My grandads house in Scotland is over 300 years old and all kinds of creepy stuff has happend. the one I can't explain is how my mother, sister and I went upstairs to go to sleep and as we opened the door a really heavy photoframe fell over. It was a picture of my grandmother and she had died in the house a few years before this.

I would have thought that, but it's too heavy to fall over. It's a big glass photo frame. It probably was wind but I do think it's too heavy to fall over

One time I was sat in my living room and this pile of paper that was in the fireplace (that hadn't been on all day) just suddenly caught alight. I assume it was just trapped heat from the night before or something...

No, I believe in sleep paralysis. I had an ex who used to suffer from it really badly. She scared me to death sometimes when she'd wake me. That's what made me look into it, and research it. That's how I know.
