Default hampstead heath - should we now allow cyclist ?

Hampstead Heath cycling petition

welcome in to heaven,
you have entered paradise,
everything is going to blossom,
and its all got no price.
kids can play,
climb tree's, run at fall speed,
don't get to enthusiastic,
i am going to plant a negative seed.
off your bikes,
says park police and Hampstead heath rangers,
no this is not a April fools,
its due to health and safety and these so called dangers.
cyclist have 2 roads,
the rest of the heath is forbidden,
is this a case of discrimination,
the "NO CYCLING" yellow signs are not even hidden.
we need a urgent review,
common sense must prevail,
there is a alive train track along side,
maybe the heath should ban it in-case of a derail.
bikes should be allowed,
providing they stick to one code,
and that's like the police, the tractors and vans,
always put pedestrians first, and always stay in safety mode.
i hope i have made a case,
Hampstead Heath i will now email and this i will propose,
if you agree please copy and paste it to hampstead.heath@cityoflondon.gov.uk,
and with this enforced, all heath users will smell a rose.

( when i go to london i often spend my lunch hours in this park - i can not help but think they need to relax the laws and let all users of the heath use and enjoy it - just saying lol )

People who ride pushbikes generally believe themselves to be above the law. They're not required to have any kind of insurance and yet regularly injure and even kill pedestrians. My local park doesn't allow cycling. It's not as if Hampstead Heath doesn't have a couple of tracks just for bikes. Don't understand what they're whining about.

livia - the tracks are 2 roads for a mass amount of space - these 2 roads may not get you to the exit you want to leave by ? is that not taken choice out of a park ?

maybe livia when you enter a park we will tell pedestrians the way to walk and what exit they must leave by - you are right miss lol

i think they should even go fall walk and tell us what way we can walk down the strrets as well.

good luck uma thurman -
