Default \'Chantelle and Preston rows over wedding plans\' - People

TACKY CHANTELLE'S MARRIAGE BUST-UP
EXCLUSIVE Preston fury at OTT plans
By Caroline Waterston

CELEB Big Brother winner Chantelle Houghton and fianc? Preston have had a string of rows over their wedding plans.

Essex bimbo Chantelle, 22, and Ordinary Boys star Preston, 24, cannot agree on the arrangements for their big day.

SHE wants a tacky, over-the-top bash with loads of publicity - just like Jordan's wedding.

HE is horrified at the idea and is arguing for something quiet, sophisticated and elegant.

Despite vowing to tie the knot this summer, the couple cannot even see eye to eye on the choice of venue or who to invite.

And they constantly fight over whether to sell rights to the occasion to a celebrity magazine. A source told The People: "It's tearing them apart.

"Chantelle is desperate for a lavish wedding on the scale of Posh and Becks or Jordan and Peter.

"She wants the guest list to be a Who's Who of showbiz with lots of hype. There's talk of her inviting Michael Barrymore and Jodie Marsh. Preston can't think of anything worse. He wants close friends and family. And he thinks a cheesy mag deal with harm his cool image."

The pair met in January when she was planted as a fake celeb in the BB house.

Chantelle's wedding dress is to be made by Princess Di's designer Elizabeth Emanuel. But the source added: "Even the style of it has caused rows. It's a nightmare."

I've posted this reply in so many places today

If anything Preston's the more dominant one in their relationship. I'd be inclined to believe it more if the roles were reversed. Also i'm pretty sure neither of them would want Jodie Marsh on their guest list. She's not been very complimentary of late.

There's also a story in the Daily Star on Sunday today about them keeping people awake at night. If you catch my drift.

Diamondo, if you were telling another forum member to 'shut up' I'm afraid that is completely out of order.

If I have misunderstood your message I apologise.

If I haven't, then please desist. Members can talk about whatever they like on TIBB, no matter how far in the past it was.

Surely they can't fall apart over the wedding day? They've been through loads; it's typical that they end up having an argument over arrangements!

I never really understand the big deal that a wedding is for a lass.

Id like to get married in a church one day, but as long as the bride and groom are there, everything else is trivial surely?

Or am I being a typical bloke?

Yep CC I think you are being just a typical bloke. For many girls they dream about their wedding from the time they are small. For some they have planned every detail before they have even met Mr Right (even if he turns out to be Mr Wrong).

From the interviews I've read and seen on tv with them they both just want to get married and aren't at all bothered about the wedding details which is the only way to approach it IMO.
Chantelle has said many times that she isn't bothered how she marries him she just wants to marry him.
I like the fact that Preston has some say in it though most men aren't bothered and I think it'sl ovely that he wants to help plan it.
Jodie would be the last person they'd want at their wedding I'm sure.she's been very nasty about them both.
Chantelle said in an interview only today that she doesn't care about the details or what people think she just wants people to share the happiness of it.
