A man has been arrested after stripping naked during an airport security check.

Oregon native John E Brennan stripped in protest of harrasment from security at the Portland International Airport.



During the incident, Brennan removed all of his clothes in front of fellow passengers, including children. Passengers covered their eyes, while others took photos of the incident on their mobile phones.

Brennan, who was boarding a flight to San Jose, California then refused to put his clothing back on after TSA screeners asked.

The 50-year-old told CNN: "I just took off my clothes and said 'See, I don't have any explosives'. The individuals at TSA are just doing their job and the whole organisation needs to find a balance between safety and privacy .

"They use fear and intimidation and it's got to stop somewhere."

Brennan was arrested, and now faces charges for disorderly conduct and indecent exposure.

This is the second incident this month involving such a display at an airport. A female passenger at Denver International Airport also stripped naked after what police described as "some sort of breakdown".

It's ludicrous that people can be arrested for this sort of stuff. It's only a naked body, Christ.
