Default Biggest full moon of the year

Tonight apparently we'll be getting a 'super moon' that looks like this....

No chance but it'll be worth a look

I love the Moon too, it's very mysterious. Seriously, I find it interesting how it controls the tides and stuff.

Love the moon. Massive and stunning at even a half glance last night, too.

During this week's perigee - the closest point of orbit - the moon will be 221,801 miles from Earth.

The close approach will happen within minutes of the official full moon phase at 4.35am BST.

The moon line up with the Earth and the sun makes it appear brilliantly full.

Gravitational pull if my old schoolgirl memory serves me right. the young smart ones on here will keep me right I'm sure! It is quite awesome how all it all works.

Should be interesting to have a look outside tonight, see if the camera can pick up any half decent pics.

The perigee full moon is likely to cause higher tides as it reaches its closest pint to the earth....

...Does anyone remember the last total eclipse...?..it felt like world was still

The moon likes a wee tipple now and then, just to quench it's thirst on it's journey.
