its hard to explain to a non-smoker why smokers smoke.....
its almost impossabile to explain...once you have smoked before and you go out on a p*ss up i can garante you will need a cigerette and thats when smokers enjoy it

Ok, example...

Earlier i was getting annoyed by the slightest things and in such a vile mood, i had a ciggie and i'm a lot calmer. It calms you down a lot aswell as smoking more when you are drinking. Then again, that could be the same for people who drink alcohol though? Why do they 'choose' to?

And you only have to have one aswell don't you, people who smoke 20/40 a day, i cannot understand that in the slightest tbh but some can't understand people who smoke not a lot though.

No, don't smoke.

I once told a friend who then contracted Lung Cancer, that it was his fault and he knew the risks and he wouldn't get any sympathy from me.

He hasn't spoken to me since. Can't think why

It might sound harsh, but he's an intelligent bloke with a family, who might not last long enough to enjoy them, which is sad.

If people wish to do it, and not make me inhale their smoke, fine, but don't expect any sympathy when things go wrong

Because lighting that first ever fag is a choice - do I dont I? it gets harder to dont I though every time you have just one more!

I smoke in excess of 30 a day - not proud of it, know the risks, would not like to stop at this point in my life though! I dont smoke to look cool because it doesnt make you look cool, I dont smoke to fit in, I smoke purely and simply because I am addicted to nicotene and I actually enjoy a fag!

I tried to stop once a while a go and it wasnt pretty I can tell you, there should be some kind of rehab us smokers can go to lol!

I don't drink either

My lifestyle does allow either, i've been bodybuilding for many years, so i'm well into a regime that won't allow me bad things.

Smoking & Alcohol are as bad as each other, in different ways.

Most people don't like the truth though.

I understand people trying it, it's when they get to 18 and still think it's cool that makes them look quite sad.

If people choose to smoke, then they know the consequences. I just hope they are fortunate enough, not to have to leave their loved ones to fight on after they have gone.

I remember my Grandfather dying when I was 11, due to smoking down the years. Devastated

As I say, down to the individual, but smoking. drinking, drugs, whatever, they know the dangers (well, most do) and it's their lives, but sometimes, it doesn't just affect them.
