Default The Voice live shows are bordering on unwatchable

I won't actually stop watching them as I enjoy the show, but my God they really are awful.

I could just about take them for the first two weeks, but I was totally distracted watching it tonight, kept reading the internet on my phone instead, and eventually I gave up at 7:15 and recorded the rest (which I still haven't watched...normally I would've done by now) as I just couldn't bothered and was much more excited for the BGT Final. I don't know what it is, but there's something seriously lacking, tonight especially. It all felt very amateur, and in comparison to BGT (and the XF as well) the production of these shows are quite poor.

It's a shame as during the Blind Auditions I thought it had the edge on BGT, but it's really gone downhill since and this week's semi-finals and tonight's final have totally shown The Voice up. I understand it's a new show but that's my point, it really does need some work. I'm disappointed because I love the show but it's really starting to lose my interest since it has gone live.

On a side note - fantastic BGT Final tonight. Probably the best ever. Very well produced and some very talented acts. The Voice need to take notes.

Tbh, I thought tonight's show was the best of all the live shows. They're not here to compete with the production values of the X Factor, the Voice was all about the vocals of the acts. I don't know why people are expecting fireworks (even though Will mentioned them tonight lol) but just a regular Saturday night entertainment show. I think the last two or three series of X Factor have shown that the overproduction doesn't save a crap show. It's supposed to be all about the acts after all and not the self promotion of already famous stars.

The BBC doesn't have the luxury of using the licence payer's money so lavishly as BGT uses the Virgin Media sponsorship.

I only pay attention to the actual performance really, Holly and Reggie are somewhat irrelevant compared to Ant & Dec, Dermot etc. who come across as a big part to the show. And well the judges say the same things over and over ( cringed at all the 'spell' lines after Leanne's performance).

They're boring, nowhere near as exciting as the X Factor live shows. I'm not sure what's missing. I love Holly and the performance are good... it's just I don't find the live shows exciting.

I think Leanne is awful. lol
She sounds so strained to get those high notes. And then overuses them to try and show off she can do it, regardless of if it fit the song or not. I wanted to strangle her during the group performance.

And the group performances were the best bit. Really enjoyed them.

There's no conflict. I know it's horrible to wish there to be negativity or arguments in a TV show but right now it's just an hour and a half of sycophancy. This is why Jessie J's become my favourite judge, really - she's the only one of the four that's offered some form of criticism that I can recall.

Tom, whilst a music 'icon' (or whatever, since I don't actually own any of his music or particularly care about him since he's not an 'artist'), is dull. He's lovely, and has an amazing voice, but he has little relevance today.
Danny is a Grade A prat. He's attention-seeking, he's embarrassing and he's really not an authority in music.
Will... I can see why he stands out as 'the funny guy' but honestly if you compare him to David Walliams on BGT he really isn't. He's socially awkward, takes forever to get a (usually boring) sentence out and I'm just going to hate him anyway for his appalling music.

K I'm moaning now, and I do overall enjoy it more than The X Factor, I just want different judges. Oh and get rid of Holly too. Fearne Cotton would be an improvement. Really.

I hardly notice Holly and the other guy, not sure why they are there really, certainly not 2 of them at any rate, however I love The Voice and until this week for me, it has been far better than BGT, really BGT as to the final should be a great show, The Voice has its final still to come.

I love the acts on The Voice, the judges are getting more critical but it is subdued criticism with no nasty or personal insults as on X Factor. No ridiculing the acts either.

I think the weaker teams were on tonight as to The Voice, Danny certainly has the stronger team,as I say I love The Voice and it has ridden over BGT for me all series until tonight for the BGT final.
I am eagerly looking forward now to next weeks show with Jessie's and Danny's teams.

Holly and Reggie are perfect "invisible" hosts who rightfully shouldn't take over the show. I don't think Fearne Cotton would fit, although she was ok on Sky 1's music show.

I think it shows Holly can't really host on her own. She needs someone with her. Reggie's backstage, so for the most part she's just on her own.

Oh yeah, I agree about the love-in kind of feel the comments have, there's certainly no conflict, arguments and banter which for me is part of what makes X Factor and Britain's Got Talent better. And the comments are very repetitive, I know the same could be said for Louis Walsh but at least he's amusing, this lot aren't (with the exception of Will perhaps...although I agree with Shaun, the amount of time it takes for him to speak is now becoming quite awkward).

And don't get me started on standing ovations. At least on XF/BGT it isn't overdone, and when an act does get given one, it at least feels believable, as do the comments. They're doing it on The Voice for practically every performance, a lot of which are totally undeserving. It all feels quite insincere.

I also think Holly/Reggie should alternate the on-stage presenting role, Reggie seems the stronger host of the two for me.

Same. A lot of effort seemed to go into them tonight... which is more than you can say for the lipsynch-fest on TXF

Just don't get the four judges to do 'Beautiful Day' again. Jesus wept.

But tbh, I don't get the hate for Holly. She does the job well and smoothly, she's not really meant to be the focus. I don't understand what people want. The comedy duo/performance style that Ant N Dec have isn't really suitable for The Voice which isn't about the host.

The blind auditions were new, and fresh! but now were in the live shows, its just like the x factor, but without the massive production

viewers wanted to watch the x factor cause of the judges sqaubbling AND the contestants, idk i just find the x factor more interesting, its a shame, because im actually looking foward to the x factor now.

I don't get why people complain about the judges, on The X Factor the only reason we get conflict is because the only thing the judges know how to criticise is the the props are outfits.... Atleast the judges on here actually know what they're talking about when it comes to the vocals. My reason, I think it get's boring sometimes is because we're used to having breaks. Sometimes it seems to be going on forever. (I still prefer no breaks though)
