Default WWE '13 - **** caps lock

Quote:
WWE '13 has been officially announced by THQ, and although the teaser trailer below doesn't reveal much a whole host of new and improved features have been confirmed.

The trailer lists an October 30 release date (probably November 2 in the UK) and the game will be out on Wii, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. But there doesn't seem to be any hint of a Wii U version or any portable editions.

Since we don't profess to be wrestling experts (we'll use Mr Pinkerton for the review) we'll let the following feature list do the talking.

Although the biggest story out of THQ at the moment is not necessarily its games but the fact that Danny Bilson, the publisher's long-serving and well-respected head of core games, has left the company - as has his underling Dave Davis.

THQ has been in financial trouble for years now, most recently cancelling its involvement with Devil's Third and delaying South Park: The Stick Of Truth. Bilson's exit is part of what the company calls 'major leadership restructuring' but it has managed to line-up an interesting replacement, in the form of Naughty Dog co-founder Jason Rubin.

Rubin left the Crash Bandicoot and Uncharted developer several years ago and has not been involved with the core games industry since. He'll now be in charge of all of THQ's games and will be second only to CEO Brian Farrell.

And now, onto those WWE '13 features…

WWE Live - Experience the atmosphere, spectacle and fervour of a WWE live event through attention-grabbing Spectacular Moments, including ring breaks and barricade crashes, along with a brand new audio and presentation system designed to produce the most authentic and vibrant commentary, sound effects and crowd participation levels ever experienced in a WWE video game.

The attitude Is back – Return to an unparalleled and groundbreaking era in WWE history – a time of pure raucousness, grandiose personalities and colossal revolution – through a franchise-first single player campaign focused on eight purveyors of attitude during the famed television 'Monday Night Wars,' including WWE Hall of Famer 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin.

WWE Universe 3.0 – Control the virtual WWE experience like never before in the popular career-style mode, as individual decisions throughout gameplay will dynamically introduce matches, alliances, rivalries and unpredictable moments along the path toward becoming a WWE champion.

Predator Technology 2.0 – Driven by new animations, transitions and modified controls, Predator Technology returns to deliver intelligent, fluid and engaging WWE action, resulting in a smoother gameplay experience than its predecessors.

Create + share – Utilise the franchise’s industry-defining Creation Suite to develop and customise Superstars, entrances, arenas, finishing moves, storylines, highlight reels and more, as well as share and download creations with others from around the world.

Distinguished roster – Compete with a vast array of WWE Superstars and Attitude Era luminaries from the largest roster in franchise history, including cover Superstar CM Punk, 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin, Sheamus, Undertaker, Mankind, Chris Jericho, Big Show and Mark Henry.

Surprises in store – Live the revolution through future announcements, including additional game features, a comprehensive roster reveal, downloadable content and big surprises.

Cannot wait for this, nothing has/will top that era of WWF/E.

I'm more interested in just the Attitude Era superstars than the 'today'stars ha!

There's 38 Superstars, 7 Divas and 32 'Attitude Era' peeps! Awesome.

Looks like the same game they've released for the past 6 or so years.
