Default Alexandra Burkes album "Heartbreak On Hold" Charts at #18 - (UPDATE Midweeks - #56 )
Her smash album has estimatedly sold 7k copies lol. Marcus's album had stronger first week sales. The album would of peaked aswell, Its no where to be seen on itunes.

I love how Echo by Leona is considered a flop with 2.5M sales & no radio support & 2 singles, When Alexandra has already had 2 singles & achieved a whopping 7k sales. And Yes this is relevant as they're both X Factor winners. Looks like Leona has outlasted yet another winner, Only Little Mix & Leona are left.

Hopefully Alex will eventually achieve a milestone of 50k sales. Worse flop than Joe & Leon

I'd assume to breakeven she'll need to sell 250K albums with all the time & effort put in, aswell as her flopping singles

Well you should considering she'll never have another album lol. What record company would go out of their way to sign someone who'll struggle to sell 50K albums when half the country know who she is and about 1/100th of their twitter followers bothered to buy her album in the first week.

Fair enough, i get what your saying, but she has had no radio play and she has chosen the wrong singles. Ooh La La is definite top 10 and really catchy.

Also, Between The Sheets and What Money Cant Buy are NOT generic at all and they show of her vocals, she has an amazing voice.

Also, listen to 'Beating Still' its the second track on the deluxe version, and thats RedOne produced and would defiantly SMASH, that would be top 5 possibly top 3. Radios would swallow up Ooh La La and Beating Still because they are radio friendly and would do well.

I blame the single choices in my opinion. And just because its not gone to number 1 or whatever DOESNT make it a bad album, infact its helped me through a tough time (got my heartbroken didnt i lol) it makes me sad that its not doing as well as it COULD DO, because shes talented, beautiful and shes really nice, its just these bloody radio stations.

And it IS the radio silence which has something to with this, my bestfriend, who is a massive fan of hers didnt even realize she released Let It Go and Elephant, he thought her last single was The Silence, and he was pretty shocked when i told him her album was out...

It kind of is a bad album.. It cant have 4 pretty good songs and the rest generic & morph into one. It feels rushed, which is weird as it was made in like 2 years, whereas Overcome had 9 months

To be fair she hasn't had no radio support this era. For some reason Capital FM have blacklisted her and she hasn't been on the Radio 1 Playlist either. Those are awful debut week sales though and I can't see her getting a hit from this album. Wouldn't be surprised to hear the news that she's been dropped by her record label soon.

and as andrew has already pointed out the album is amazing and nobody cares about sales and stop comparing her to leona this album is better than anything leona has done/will do SOLID FACT
